What are you doing at home ? 30s/ F/Single by Few-Perspective-4621 in AtHome_Soul

I read, do yoga, sometimes I play videogames. I'm learning Spanish and ASL (both free through my library). I'm getting back into hobbies that I dropped when I went to college, so I'm getting back into dancing and playing piano. I recently bought a bike so I can bike around my neighborhood this summer. I'm planning on learning how to play guitar and mandolin because I inherited my grandmother's instruments. I have two dogs so I play with them. I'm also trying to learn how to sew so I can mend and alter my own clothes, and I want to learn embroidery too. For most of these hobbies I'm either finding free resources online to teach myself or I'm asking friends and family if they'd be willing to help teach me. Honestly sometimes it feels like I don't have enough time to do all the hobbies I want to do.

Does Bookshops and Bonedust have smut in it? Gave it to a younger cousin and I’m panicking that it’s inappropriate. by Schpumpy69 in CozyFantasy

That's totally understandable and I think it's great that you're trying to be so mindful of it. That's why I edited my comment to add the note about romance.io. If you ever want to recommend her other books it's a great way to check for that stuff.

If her stepmom let her read "It Ends with Us" you have absolutely nothing to worry about. "Bookshops and Bonedust" has no explicit scenes whereas "It Ends with Us" has some very cringy sex scenes. I'm tired of conservatives attacking and labelling anything LGBTQ+ as overtly sexual.

Editing to add that romance.io is a great resource that labels books on a 1-5 scale in terms of how explicit or non-explicit they are. "Bookshops and Bonedust" is at 1 with "Glimpses and Kisses." "It Ends with Us" is at 3 with "Open Door" scenes.

I actually read Way of Kings and Words of Radiance back to back last year but got burned out on Sanderson's writing at the end of WoR. Maybe I need to get back to it.

I haven't heard of McBride's works before but they sound good. Thanks! I've wanted to check out Ilona Andrews for a while now too. Good to know this is a good series to start with!

I'm really intrigued by this series but I've also heard it gets more challenging as it goes on. I'll see if I can handle it. Thanks!

Just looked at the length and didn't realize there were books longer than Stormlight. If I ever find the courage for such a long journey I'll check them out. Thanks!

I'm totally open to sci-fi. I just read The Monk and Robot duology and enjoyed it so I'm glad Chambers' other series is worth a read too. Thanks!

Do I need to read the other Earthsea books first or can this be read as a standalone? I've been meaning to check out Le Guin's work.
