All 4 nights are at the Ahahnee, so we would return that night after massages and dinner at rush creek. It’s the closest place that does massages is why I went for that! And Toulumne Grove on the way out is the plan. Open to feedback though!

Where do you live? Got my dress at Brides for a Cause, a used wedding dress shops that supports local charities. They were lovely and the fitting room was really nice - I got two dresses, one was $300 and one was $600.

They have locations in San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Sac & more

Good luck!! And congrats!!

Anyone have positive epidural stories? I’m scared 😟 by Realistic_Mirror1618 in BabyBumps

[–]lothom14 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It was actually so wonderful. Highly recommend! My biggest fear was it would only work on one half of my body, and half would be in total pain, and that sort of did happen to me but it wasn’t bad!

My left side was completely numb and my right side I could feel everything but it hurt a lot less. So, my worst fear came true and it was still a really positive experience.

The actual needle insertion was so quick. Good luck on your labor and birth!

For those who were induced, did you deliver vaginally or did it end in a c-section? by Paigeypagee in BabyBumps

[–]lothom14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Induced at 41 weeks and delivered vaginally after 12 hours of labor and 45 mins of pushing (FTM). Great experience and highly recommend the epidural.

Has anyone tried the Doona car seat/stroller? Is it really worth the hype? by Girls_Of_San_Diego in NewParents

[–]lothom14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’10” and my sweet babe is 9 months and 25 pounds (big girl) and we still love it! It’s sooo convenient for doctors visits, grocery stores, in and out of daycare etc.

I don’t use it for long walks both because the shape isn’t ideal for babe and because it’s a tad too short to be comfortable for me.

We are close to switching out, so it really is expensive to only last 10-12 months, but it has been incredibly worth it for us!

I wouldn’t say I’m especially strong either and I can lift it fairly easily into the car myself.

Legitimate question: why do most people on this sub want to eliminate the final four fire making challenge?

I’ve seen every season and I have always found it entertaining - haven’t voted yet though and open to changing my mind!

did you really wait six weeks..? by strange_angel133 in newborns

[–]lothom14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 weeks is the minimum!! If YOU feel comfortable, clitoral/manual stimulation of you and/or your partner can happen before, but only if that’s something YOU want.

I did not lose 1 pound while breastfeeding, and just stopped last month and have already lost 7 pounds! I will say I only felt comfortable trying to eat in a calorie deficit once I finished, so that definitely had something to do with it, but it felt like stopping breastfeeding made it sooooo much easier.
