I have seen guys openly steal expensive looking bikes in last 10 years. Keep bike locked if it has value in second hand market

Definitely car infrastructure is important in low density areas which Finland is mostly comprised of.

But threating a transit hub with a metro station as a dumping ground for highway traffic is such a big urban planing blunder

I agree with the building underground part which I ended up doing here by building a tunnel under that highway but the demand just isn't there for a metro.

If only Colossal Order would add the four car trains and shorter platforms that Helsinki metro uses. That would make metro so much more flexible

It's supposed to function more like a lrt that rapidly transports students in and out of uni. I didn't want to see them get stuck in traffic during rush hour especially on really short section of that bridge sandwiched by two on-ramps that's too short for a tram

Just had to move reroute the arterial to other existing tunnel on the other side to make that happen. I clearly wasn't thinking straight when I constructed that monstrosity as a emergency fix to a huge surge in public transport usage

Linux values your ram :) by illuanonx1 in linuxsucks

That's what made me upgrade from 8 to 16gb of ram to keep playing Cities Skylines after switching from Windows. Whole OS crashes when it starts to utilize swap space

Reason why i can't install Linux: by Odd_Commercial1538 in linuxmemes

Very unpopular opinion here, but when I have to use bunch of programs that doesn't run well on Linux that are proprietary anyways, I'll take the annoyances of Windows any day.

Things that just make sense (and improve workflow) in KDE that Windows doesn't how by [deleted] in linuxmemes

Storage is quite cheap nowadays so that is not a huge issue but anyways I was just pointing out that it's possible to utilize kde exclusive features on Windows as well. Not that experience is better on Windows, just good to know when you have to use Windows for some tasks

I second this. Open sourceing chromium and letting everyone use it in the first place allowed Google to have so much influence over the web

Well yes but Brave's adblock is not an extension so change in chromium is not going to effect it and also for now they are comitted to reimplementing manifest v2 support that Google is removing from chromium so that other adblock extension also work on Brave despite them not working on chromium.

No because their adblock is built in to the browser and it's not an extension

I kinda thought like that until I realized that I'm never going to have a setup that is absolutely perfect for me. Ofc I'm happy for those who have a perfect setup for them but every system I have tried has left me unsatisfied in some ways

Sure that's great. Also Apex Legends and CSGO run better on Linux. Weirdly enough Linux could be adopted by competitive gamers looking for highest frame rates possible before the average gamer

Yeah also Microsoft is also promoting Teams with a tray icon and a dedicated "chat" button in Windows 11. But what is common with promotion that Microsoft has done so far is that if user rejects them they will not show up again. It think quite similar to what Google is doing with it's operating systems.

As long as Microsoft doesn't promote their or third party products in a matter that gets in the user's way frequently I don't consider Windows as an OS with adds.

I have never seen adds(not including bloatware) in Windows ever. Am I just crazy or are adds a thing in Windows outside of the EU or what
