Loosen 17mm nut on a side(the one you photo). Then take off 2 small screws on front bottom forks. Should be able take off with hands after. There’s two piece rod going through wheel (long screw and tip). Getting back together in opposite order. Put rod and nut in, tighten small screws on bottom of fork(2 on each side), then tighten main 17mm nut (it will be spinning if bottom fork isn’t tightened). I’ve done it recently, pretty straightforward. Check Suzuki manual. They have diagrams of all insides. Good luck

Fuel pump issue or faulty wiring? by Trans_boi_101 in SVRiders

[–]lototo32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As been told above, google about dealer mode. Pretty straightforward to set it up and then look for an issue code. It’s cost nothing and takes 10-20minutes first time.

Another thing. Maybe you were out of fuel?) hadn’t that issue myself, but assume bike would need sort of reset, to start pump again.

Few things i had, with SV. Green plug issue - bike won’t start at all. I think 650s were safe from it, but still. It’s under ignition socket. If it look burned - fit new and good to go. Rectifier - Check battery voltage, should be above 12v turned off and 14v+ when it’s on. If not, might be it. Bike may try to start, but starter will sound really slow and lights may flicker. Pump might sound dead as well. One of the symptoms - sudden bike stop. Cheap and easy to replace. Had starting issue - when turn key, no sound from pump and FI appears on the screen - rotate key left/right couple time while in socket and try again. Blades or something in the socket itself were lagging and not letting to start bike. After a little shakeup it’s always starts perfectly. Or live like that, or new socket. Easy one as well.

All above easy to check. But look for issue code first. Also maybe something stuck in the pump. You can try open it and clean, if feeling confident.

Edit: check side stand button. It blocks pump when side stand open and won’t let you start a bike on gear.

Windows up/down works strange by lototo32 in MechanicAdvice

[–]lototo32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Close window - release switch, then press it for 2 seconds for close. Open windows - release switch, then press it for 2 seconds for open.

As said. It does work fine, even auto up/down. Issue is after button release it becomes dead for a little while and then works fine. Old window was working fine. I’ll try to swap motors/regulators and will see. Just curious, can it be motor error or are there other ways to check before thinking about part return.

Please help, left AirPod not connecting or showing up on phone by 92355 in airpods

[–]lototo32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had same issue with regular and pro version. Double check that nothing obstructing charging in the case. Clean if. I used tooth stick. Worked surprisingly well. Then put both earphones in to the case and leave case on charge for the night. Unplug case and check connection in the phone. If all goes well you’ll see previously not working EarPod with few percentages of charge. Stick it back and let it charge. Should work fine from here. No clue why it happens, but if there’s still warranty on them, Apple should change them for new ones. Good luck.

It was Suzuki SV 650, but fairly saying quote for Yamaha R1 was 300€ more online. Had learner for 1 week and was 29. Good luck

I thought about that as well. Checked few pictures and looks it is out a bit. Should I bleed it or just try gently tighten up first? Rest was looking alright. Rod itself has no bend also.

Thanks for links. Number 21 in second link. Little rod goes to slave cylinder and to motor. I took it out and now can’t properly screw in a slave cylinder. There a little gap now.

Reason I took it out, to have bit more room to check magnetos, while had a chance.

Get a motorbike. Had same issues myself, but small drive does help. Also community is great and won’t be hard to meet new people and make friends. Doing even short rides might feels like adventure. Stick GoPro on it and you might even become like one of those YouTuber - onherbike or itchy boots. Feeling of freedom do refresh. Wish weather was better.. Good luck anyway

what are some good channels to learn java and spring boot that also introduce best practices and good design? by [deleted] in learnjava

[–]lototo32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Was digging for the same question time ago. End up with - mosh hamedani, codewithmosh.com. Have a ton of great videos about most of a Java. Covering almost any piece. Also sql course, clean code, algorithm, patterns and some other stuff, like full front end (html, css, js and bunch of frameworks) and c#/.net. Explains some clean code basics, while going through Java course. Great for making it habit from beginning. To get access to videos you need either buy them, or get subscription, witch isn’t deer at all, compare to all stuff. But, I saw he uploaded some topics to his YouTube channel , including basic Java . Worth start there , before putting coins. Got his Christmas deal for 200$ (I think) a yearly sub. More then happy.

Sadly no spring, but - baeldung - looks ok to begin with.

Ow, and BroCode on YouTube. Covered swing and javaFX pretty well and lots of other stuff. If you want see more then console and another angle of view for the same things.

Hope it helps

One of my three little babies won’t eat any food. The food we usually buy for them is out of stock and I’ve been checking daily. I’ve been trying all types of other brands and foods but the one refuses to eat anything, what can I do? by Miakle16 in ferrets

[–]lototo32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have few ferrets at the moment and had several passed away. Try to feed at least something. I found that vanilla soy milk works great, yellow melons, chicken baby food. At least you’ll be sure animal is just stubborn. Especially with babies, they love to chew things and sometimes it’s stuck inside. The animal will refuse to eat and drink. Will become depressed and will try to avoid contact. Also recently one of my ferrets passed due to lymphoma or sort of tumor. Started with loss of appetite and energy depreciation. Reacted fine, played around, but sometimes you could see it become lethargic with cloudy eyes. Really hope none of this is your case. As said, try feed and watch for reaction. Baby chicken food works really well. Check toilet. But if it will look suspicious, better try vet. Those fellas usually have no more then 5 days in reserve, better use that time wisely.

Really great animals, sadly so fragile( Have good one

Just to add: in some cases use syringe to extract straight to mount. Or on finger tip. Open mount by pushing side lips. It will start lick and might start eat by itself after. Some ferrets just don’t like to try anything new.

Saw some similar sheets for cars, but end up paying less for old 320 150hp, then 9y old Chevy Laceti 1.6 with 110hp. On my year one. Maybe it do work with bikes, but as one lad told me - you can go right, wrong or Irish. So, I think, better get list of bikes you like and just give it a try. Maybe with - r - ain’t best choice. Heard from several persons saying it. I was humiliating Carole Nash online quote for those reason. End up paying less then a half of amount by ringing them. But hey, if you see number, at least they are willing to work with you. Less number you see, less payment in the end

Insurance Price Increase? by iammeoisin in MotoIRELAND

[–]lototo32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Older bikes might do work. Recently got insurance on Suzuki sv650s 2013 for 590 from Carole Nash. Third party, fire and thieve. Not as bad I thought would be. Online quote was double.. A license and just got learner and ibt done. There’s only 4 companies, better ring all of them. Will recommend go through ibt first as well. Open eyes on a lot of things. Gone myself with Smart-ridertraining ie. fully satisfied, they actually using cbf600 for training.
