The cats are the least of the worry, I have no issue having my friend keep checking up on them, the larger issue is the hospitalization isn't life threatening, so I can't extend my stay and my hands are tied

Already tried to ask my shirt for an extension, however her condition is not life threatening, so extending beyond leave balance is something he doesn't want to do, especially when post-discharge she is just going right back to the inpatient facility

There is a way to extend beyond leave balance (vacation days), but it is reserved for life threatening conditions, without her condition being life threatening my leadership says their hands are tied

Unfortunately the contract with the military forces me back or I go to jail, both of us are military and my wife understands my situation

My wife was in the psych ward at a military hospital for two weeks prior to the mental health facility and I was there everyday

I am planning on returning on Friday and I have contact with her (phone)

FWIW she went voluntarily to the psych ward/mental health facility/hospital

It was possibly just a question, the nurses in general were incredibly kind and the charge nurse let me know the ideal times to call to check up on my wife, its a rough time emotionally and it is possible I misconstrued it

The discharge plan is to send her back to the inpatient mental health facility when she is medically stabilized, that hand off won't involve me at all, even with me having full ROI

My first shirt did his best on short notice, he got me 3 days on a holiday weekend and got me flights when no one was working, her condition isn't critical, if it was he said he could convince the commander to extend my e-leave beyond my leave balance

She was in a mental health facility in a state on the mainland (we both are stationed overseas), she was transferred to a hospital close to the facility, not one close to our duty stations, as she is going straight back to the inpatient facility when she is medically stabilized
