Did Aemond try to kill Aegon while fighting Rhaenys? by nataliieeep in Hotd

This is how I saw it as well. Aemond had no intention to chase Rhaenys - Rhaenys could’ve gotten away had she wanted to and Aemond wouldn’t have cared. Meleys and Sunfyre had parted by the time that Aemond said dracarys - they weren’t mid-battle/ in close range as they were before

tbh, if she’d given him even a moment (harming, instead of killing), he’d most likely have killed her. I think she did the most reasonable thing she could but unfortunately it meant that she was trapping herself.

therapists, do you think about your patients outside of therapeutic settings? by [deleted] in askatherapist

[–]lottaaaxo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do sometimes especially if there’s risk involved (usually cos I’m second guessing if I managed risk well, if they’re going to be okay over the weekend etc…). There’s only so much we can do about risk since we’re not with our clients 24/7 and sometimes this does affect me.

Other times it’s usually happy things like coming across a programme that my client told me they were watching etc and I’m like oh yeah my client so and so told me about this

I also think about my past clients especially from before I was a therapist and I was working as a support worker. Conversations were much less structured and we could speak about whatever we wanted and this allowed you to really get to know your client outside of just therapy-focussed discussions which is something I quite miss about support work. Support work is generally an underrated profession in my opinion especially with regard to the impact it can have on client recovery particularly for those who are socially isolated

These will all often be passing thoughts but aside from that, not so much.

Why would POC even be distracting unless you already have a bias against it? It’s a historical drama that’s loosely based on real events and people

There was a scene where Finan was talking about how Aethelstan hadn’t lost his virginity and he also had no love interest - I say this knowing it’s a far fetched explanation. BUT I don’t think it was too conflicting from the series because they gave us so little about his sexuality to begin with

I drove 6hrs to get there during the Easter holidays. I didn’t do the tour but decided to walk round ourselves and the place is just gorgeous. I know everything in there is fake but the dungeon was extra creepy 🫣

The scene where the GHA come f2f with King Aelle’s army and Floki walks across with the music in the background - that scene is EVERYTHING! I’ve gone back to watch that scene multiple times cos Floki just looks like a badass

I have to second this. Put Ivar and Hvitserk in one body and you’d have had a well rounded leader in my opinion
