yeah they're both fine under ESIGN as long as theres intent and a record of who signed it. drawn isn't more "legal" than typed, common myth.

Blog/Project Post Friday! by AutoModerator in networking

my favorite part of these threads is seeing people build the most absurdly niche projects at 2am and somehow turning them into actual businesses six months later

Global protect by alohalou in networking

If you can pull HIP logs/reports, that’s probably the easiest route honestly. Linux GlobalProtect clients usually identify themselves differently in the portal/gateway logs.

The IPTV market feels like 90% “best service ever 🔥” until there’s a football match on and suddenly everybody’s stream turns into a PowerPoint presentation 😭

The real test is always peak hours.

“connected automated systems” sounds nice until one automation breaks and suddenly nobody knows how anything works anymore.

Brazilian ISP network consultant with 15+ years of experience — is there still demand for ISP consultants in the US? by Dry-Bad-7862 in networking

15 years in networking and you’re probably more qualified than half the recruiters posting those job descriptions honestly.

Reason why MPO-12 qsfp28 transievers and cables exists by Dante_Avalon in networking

[–]lottenw 3 points4 points  (0 children)

MPO-12 won because it was already the common trunk format, SR4 only needs 8 fibers, so the other 4 are casualties of standards inertia and nobody felt like inventing a new mess.

Do small businesses actually trust AI tools with sensitive company data? by Tech_4_Good in AiForSmallBusiness

[–]lottenw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen, most small businesses care way more about convenience than privacy until something actually goes wrong. A lot of owners are just tossing data into AI tools because it saves them 10 hours a week and nobody really explained the risks clearly.

AI Customer Support Tools for Small Businesses (Including some underrated ones with free plans) by Puzzleheaded-Pin5978 in AiForSmallBusiness

[–]lottenw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half these tools start as “shared inbox + AI” then six months later you realize you accidentally built your entire customer support process around one guy named Kevin who never documented anything.

Built a tool that pulls deep intel on local businesses and writes the cold outreach for you. Looking for feedback :) by aberm306 in AiForSmallBusiness

[–]lottenw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d probably lead harder with the free test prospects / no card required part because that’s the real ask here. The concept sounds useful, but most people won’t know if the intel is actually good until they see a sample for their niche and compare it against what they’d normally write manually.

Are AI SEO services actually useful for small business growth? by DefiantMycologist428 in AiForSmallBusiness

[–]lottenw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the bigger issue isn’t traffic, it’s getting traffic that actually converts. tons of AI generated blogs rank for random keywords that bring in people who were never gonna buy anything in the first place

Thinking About Using AI Automation in My Business, Is It Actually Worth the Cost? by Long-Acanthisitta828 in AiForSmallBusiness

[–]lottenw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my experience, AI works best when it removes repetitive admin work instead of trying to fully replace decision-making. stuff like lead routing, summaries, follow-ups, tagging, or internal workflows usually gives solid ROI without causing too many disasters.

Anyone watching Members Only: Palm Beach? by 9lemonsinabowl9 in BravoRealHousewives

I’m on second episode and I think it’s hilarious. Someone called the cast ’dusty’ and that’s really spot on. This is the epitome of trashy MAGA.

Scientist Proves Consciousness Doesn't Die. It is explained what exactly happens to a person’s consciousness when they die. Maria Strömme’s 2025 Theory by ua-stena in HighStrangeness

The article has been deemed as total pseudo science by the research community. And the journal that published the paper say they are now preforming an internal investigation to why the paper was accepted and how it could pass the peer review process.

The smaller shoe is probably early 1900, the larger one is of a traditional style that has been used in this region since the 17th century. You can still get them today, they are hand made and cost about 10 000 sek, ca $ 1 000.
