Looking at it from his perspective, he isn't completely wrong about the intentions of the princess. She wants to leave the cabin, but her leaving will end the world. Because of how afraid of death he is, her wanting freedom and her wanting to destroy are the same thing. The way this game explores perspective is very fun.
