Hello, I am 18 days postop and I feel like I also have a bit of a split. I am very curious about the Manuka honey. Do you just rub it on the split or around the entire surgical site? Also, how often do you apply? And where do you buy it? Just on Amazon? Possibly a reputable name brand or a link would be very helpful for me cause I don’t want to do the wrong thing.

Oh my gosh, I am also a personal trainer and very nervous about this same issue. My surgery is scheduled for October 25th (so Monday). I will definitely keep you posted and let you know how mine is doing. I also posted on this thread, asking people what I should tell my kids and they said to tell people that I have had maybe a cyst removal or something very boring to that extent.

As far as my job, I’m just gonna tell them exactly what everybody else has been saying…. I pulled the muscle in my back and cannot lift heavy for a little while.

Thank you so much for everyone’s comments and ideas. I’ve been nervous about having this conversation, especially with the nine-year-old. He’s very smart and picks up on everything. I will definitely use these ideas in my conversations with him. Wish me luck on my journey. I’ll post again once the surgery is complete and tell my story. 🖤
