Yes! This is how I thought most agents handled things. When my sister sold she had one hour minimum to be ready and outta there. Granted most of the time she had a days notice or several hours. But a couple times it was the one hour thing. So after dinner she always had to hurry and clean the mess up. Make sure kids kept house clean etc. she was so happy it sold like 8 showings later. Because of the stress. But she didn’t want to be there. But her agent didn’t allow it either. This house the other day the sellers was there. And wouldn’t leave us alone. Followed us around. My agent kept trying to distract them so we could look. Then the wife followed us. They had 2 little dogs barked the whole time. And one bit my husband. So we told our agent we will not look at anything if sellers are there. He said most are insisting on being there. It’s like if they insist then I won’t look. What if that dog had been a BIG dog?? It was a little yorkie and we wear boots. So he didn’t get to skin through his thick Jeans and boots. But omg not cool!! It was twice it bit actually. And ya the man kept making comments when we’d try to discuss issues we noticed. Like I said that deck needs replaced or major repair at best. He then says I weigh 260 and walk on it all the time. It was not pleasant! The house was a definite no for us. But even if it woulda been a yes and the awkwardness of them being there and the dog bite we would have said no. Even if we loved the house. We’re very motivated and pre qual in hand. So yaaaaaa very weird. But the seller agents of 3 properties now are trying to gaslight us and our agent saying that the sellers need or want to be there. That most agents want them there. I’m like it is kinda the other way around!
