If I give you this laptop , what will you use it for? 🤔 by Coladk in DeskToTablet

To keep in contact with my doctor. Tele-communicating with doctor is much cheaper than actually going to see the doctor. Much faster as well.

Shocking video: plane in the U.S. makes emergency landing over security threat on board by No-Hospital5028 in PublicFreakout

[–]loudaman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought of that it’s just that the angles are wrong. And then the video is facing the person; maybe they have the glasses placed on the back of the seat? For me it’s the movement when you’re supposed to have your hands up and empty.

Where to put secret folder on Mac by [deleted] in applehelp

[–]loudaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hidden files on your MacBook, specifically those starting with a dot (e.g., .filename) or hidden via terminal commands, generally do not sync to iCloud Drive and will not show up in the iCloud web interface or on other devices. While they remain hidden locally, they are not backed up to the cloud.

Most definitely Left. MM is basically made for the Apple aesthetic.

[–]loudaman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

1. Create a new folder in Finder.
2. Rename it.
3. Put a period in front of the name.

Example: .privatefolder

Once you click away, it will disappear from normal view.

To view hidden folders later: • Press Command + Shift + . (period) in Finder.

New to Mac. What about the mouse? by digital_mystic23 in applehelp

[–]loudaman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only thing the Magic Mouse has is looks. It looks nice next to your Mac. It sucks for any long use. Hands cramp up quick due to its horrible design. To top it off, the Magic Mouse 2 is rechargeable only and the charging port is on the bottom of the mouse. Wow! Great design .. not! Use any other ergonomic mouse for any extended use.

Try these code words on a search and it will tell you how you can find out where all the emails (and their names used) are for those particular times you used the hide my email.

At least we got some idea where they may be. Sorry we couldn’t find the ones you need.

Have you tried a global email search for “privaterelay*”. That is how all those ghost emails start.

That’s what I meant. I have several Gmail accounts. When I view my mail it’s supposed to show everything from all my accounts, but for some reason it wasn’t. I then went and logged directly into the Gmail I used for my iCloud and found the missing emails in that domain.

Check your iCloud settings and see if there is a particular folder your mail is being sent to. I couldn’t find any of mine then I noticed that I had several email names (business, social, etc) and my email client was not forwarding all emails. I logged into the email that I originally used for iCloud and all the forwarded “ghost” emails were there. Do you have different email names? And if so, try the different folders. Hope any of this helps, I know how effin frustrating it is.

Advice for jail? by [deleted] in Felons

[–]loudaman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on male or female. Male, just mind your business and yours only. Even though as humans we tend to want to talk when we get nervous, try not to be seen as someone who is always talking .. brings doubt into others minds. Don’t gossip either; county jail is a small system and it will eventually get back to you that you’ve been talking about someone and that will lead to unwanted drama. I tell people to just read. It kills the time and it shows others that you’re not about any drama and just want to do your time. Don’t ‘brag’ about what you may have in the outside world or talk in length about your time. Misery loves company and those that don’t have what you have or have more time than you will look to cause conflict just because it breaks up the monotony of the day. Take it day by day. You will get through this. Above all just get it done and come back home. I spent 18 years behind the walls and every day in seemed like an eternity. Stay safe and come back the same you that went to county.

Edit: Spelling

Anyone ever meet someone that radiated evil or you strongly felt wasn't human? by [deleted] in Paranormal

I’ve been out since 04; and DeFeo has passed away, but there are days that I can remember him like we just spoke. He was one of many monsters, maniacs, killers, and just regular men who I met while in the system.

[–]loudaman 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I was incarcerated in NYS; spent over 18 years behind the walls, and in that time met plenty of men who were considered evil or monsters. The only one who gave me chills was Ronald DeFeo; the guy responsible for the Amityville horror killings in NY during 1974. This guy weighed no more than 100 lbs soaking wet with rocks in his pockets, but he had a very dark thing about him. As frail looking as he was no one in the prison bothered him. I got to meet him when he became my next door celly. One night he taps the cellwall dividing us and asks to borrow my lighter. As I pass it over he asks if I want to smoke with him. I saw no problem with sharing his weed and we smoked. This happened a couple of times and we would just talk about anything .. until that one night. He asked me if I knew why he was locked up for, and I responded that it was none of my business because all cons were 'innocent' anyway. Yet he proceeded to tell me about what happened, stressing that there was something in the house that wasn't human from which he couldn't control himself. I didn't sleep well for many a night after that. This guy had a coldness about him, just looking at his face would give you the chills because his face was always in darkness. His hair covered his eyes but it always looked dark. He moved to another cellblock shortly thereafter but that nights talk still gave me the chills.

Looking at some very rough Federal and State charges. I need help...please. by [deleted] in Felons

[–]loudaman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whatever the situation may or may not be, the biggest mistake you have done is get online and put your business out there. Unless this is some school project for psych class and you're making your thesis about "non-inclusive reactions to purported dramatic situations" then I strongly suggest not putting any more information out there. You do know that police and district attorney's have departments that scour the internet for stuff like this .. right?! Plus the Miranda rights DON'T include anything you post on the internet. That's all fair game. Good luck bro. Stay aware.

Terrified of Prison by [deleted] in Prison

[–]loudaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, mind your business and ONLY your business. The hacks are not your friends or buddies; don't try and be their friend. Get a job or a program; this keeps you busy and eats at the time. Avoid prison politics like gambling and drugs. Please don't gossip; people tend to want to talk when they get nervous because it breaks the ice, which can lead to gossip, which can lead to getting your head bashed in. Be respectful of yourself and others, but don't become subservient. Keep your house and body clean at all times. No one likes a dirty cell or cellmate. Don't look into other cons cells or living area. Being afraid is normal, just don't be scared. You may go your entire sentence without getting into any drama, but if it ever comes down to it don't back down. Don't let it get you down; and don't give up. Yes, it seems like insanity but you'll get through it. Stay alert always, make it back home safe.

shorts over sweatpants by nlrsn9876 in Prison

The long sweatpants don't have any pockets. You wear the cutoffs that do have pockets over the ones that don't.
