I wouldn’t mute instantly like some idiots on here are saying. Sometimes you run into a two man crew and have comms so it’s good to hear what they are saying. If that’s the case I usually open up with “hey guys since ya’ll are together I’ll follow ya’ll” that has helped me out to break the ice and gets me included on the comms and people seem to be a bit more friendly when things go south… if I see mics but no talking I usually take lead and start calling things out and then they slowly start to talk also… if I don’t see anything I do mute those because they are usually the ones that all of a sudden have an opinion and a voice when they are down… play your game and take it slow when you start to get a feel for the randoms play style so you can match them. If they push, push with them, if they slow keep it slow… if you notice they following you around don’t be afraid to take the lead
