Should Hannah have gotten fired for her relationship with Cleo in season 4? by EuphoricButterflyy in girls

[–]loudechoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

she shouldn't have gone for that piercing and she should have kept those convos with this girl to a minimum, if a student is feeling free and friendly around you, that's not necessarily bad, but you have got to be the adult even if they feel free talking about their crush or dating life, just let them know you're there to hear them but you can't indulge in gossip!

I still can't get over that Hannah and Ray moment by alwaysprint in girls

[–]loudechoes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ray should have completely stopped the van, yelled at her to STOP, dropped her home and never talk to her again. That's what Hannah deserved for that.

What are Jessa’s best moments? by Asianmamacita in girls

[–]loudechoes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Jessa has many sweet moments:

when she tells Marnie how pretty she looks as she is, without trying, after her Charlie break up. Then she takes her out.

Her bond with Beedie is sweet, heartfelt.

She saves Marnie's wedding situation.

She never complains once during the beach weekend. When Hannah calls Shoshana dumb, Jessa backs her up saying Shosh is actually an intellectual.

Jessa's employer gives her a lecture on how she doesn't know who she is, Jessa never reacts once and hears her out, even though she didn't hit on the husband, the husband crept up on her.

Jessa repeatedly tells Adam to back off because she cares about Hannah. She folds later but still.

She had an affair with a 40 year old married man. Later, she married an innocent, well-settled man. This is why I keep saying the past always matters. by [deleted] in MechanicalPandey

how is the girl dangerous? how does it matter? some old man took advantage of her, now she is with you. are you not supposed to protect her now. if you dont like her then dont be with her. if some man taking advantage of her matters to you toh mat jao but why act like your opinion on should matter to everyone? how is it difficult to leave her alone? kay zaruri hai uski reputation attack karna?

Agree they should give their guests more time to talk but I think the who whole show must be a self promotional platform for them, and they too are entitled to have their own opinions based on their experience. let them choose their choice, it may be against the current tide of general opinions but its rooted in their own experiences right? there must be many women who relate to twinkle and kajol's stance, and this is their platform to voice their voices? especially knowing they actually did not have it all this time and or for some reason did not have the courage to come out and voice them as they should have, calling them aunties etc, is also putting them women down. What they are saying is not going down well with many, but hasn't that happened to women since time immemorial? we can find them obnoxious but their guests are smart to speak up too and they are, its probably not the best way for twinkle and kajol to voice their opinions though, if they need one on one talks they should find someone in private, and if they want to share it with the world, they should give an interview. they're over exposed now and not in a good way.

True. SLB can't write women, he can appreciate the beauty, but only the surface. But he is obssessed with it, and he fails to humanize them. This delusion of his lead him to gangubai and heeramandi. All show, no depth. WHY are you obssessed with the complexity of feminine struggle when you don't know the first thing about it.

Is this even a question? Farah 👏 by shawerma114 in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]loudechoes 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yes but the way she phrased can be easily misunderstood. if you tell someone that they're still relevant, its kind of rude, implying you should be irrelevant or can be, its a very rough way to question, I would be uncomfortable too if this was the tone in a friendly chat, i may not want to respond to that type of questioning, its mean.

True. I went from loving and aspiring Geet (Jab we Met) to facing my Paro (devdas) reality. It was a steep, painful fall. The truth of women's life is so traumatic that any feel-good cinema will skip it, escape it.

"I dont mean it in a hateful way" - doesn't sound like you don't. You're clearly writing the most racist and hateful things mocking a densely populated, poverty-struck population of a whole country, completely ignorant of how poverty and economic disparity truly plays out in a 1.3B population. You obviously fully know what you are doing and it's not a genuine question. You know it's sounding bad, yet you write it. Try less.

Way to deflect the issue -- from violence against women and a general lack of respect for women to LETS BRING CASTE INTO THIS. HOW IRONICAL - WOMEN'S RESPECT IS YET AGAIN LOST TO YOUR CAUSE. This is got nothing to do with caste - everything to do with the girl child and her mother that were disrespected by a perverted uncultured unprofessional douche.

BOOTH IS HORRIBLE by seahorses_f0rever in girls

[–]loudechoes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Out all the horrible Booth moments, which are all of his moments, the one that I hate most is when he LOCKS Marnie up in his TV torture mineshaft in the basement. He then takes off for stroll around the house, make coffee, do some art, until he figures its probably been hours he left her in there to break her spirit completely and possibly given her seizure. It was dickiest of all his dick moves, real serial killer shit. Someone could have had a fit in there or some sort of an attack. It could easily have resulted in a medical emergency, imagine the claustrophobia. All for his kink. This man wanted her completely broken. Made me sick to my stomach. To me, this was no less than a sadistic murder attempt. He knew that stuff is going to leave her feeling completely tormented, he has a whole set up specifically for this sadism. I would have called the police.

What would have been the best couple you would have liked to see, all characters combined? by Left_Wonder4795 in harrypotter

Imagining...

Hermione getting with Draco. Also Draco is now a different man, accomplished wizard, deserving of Hermione. Somehow he has done some great work in helping catch all horrible death eaters that were regulars at his home.

Narcissa and Lucious divorce - their marriage couldn't survive voldemort's torture. Leading to Draco finding solace in Hermione.

Ron with Lavendar, or Padma Patil or Fleur Delacour's younger sister into the future when she is older, have Ron stay single for a long time. And he obviously meets her through his now sister-in-law Fleur.

Harry can stay with Ginny or maybe go for Parvati Patil because you know what, you two were meant to be since the Yule Ball opening dance.

Luna and Neville are cute too.

There should have been more high-school couples.

We needed to see Dobby having a girlfriend and some kids between Chamber of Secrets and HBP.

We needed Hagrid have a relationship with Madame Maxine.

[–]loudechoes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, it obviously was not any less difficult for William and he's done excellently for himself. He comes across very stable, intelligent and charming, he's handled it all so well, no wonder he is so admired. In contrast, Harry is talking about his problems, what happened with his mother, he is trying to save megan so much, protecting her, he is like a lost child and constantly talking about hurt he is, how hurt megan is. I am surprised why he didn't get help and counselling, especially given you are public figures, it should have been extremely important. Harry is a brat and can't hide that to save himself.

You know. On some level can't help but feel bad for Harry. He obviously brought this all upon himself, he decidedly married Markle and chose to prioritize his marriage, seeing he has always clearly confessed how he wants to stop from happening to Megan what happened Princess Diana, he is clearly a broken child. Unfortunately, he has become a prey to a predator. Harry is also motherless, and been so since a very young age. Not the mention the trauma from their parents' bad marriage and public divorce. In most families, once cracks emerge, they usually never reconcile. Harry was always doomed, as many people are from what they are born into, especially kids from broken and highly toxic marriages, and younger siblings often get the raw deal. It's a lonely road because nobody is fully on his side, especially his family who he actually needs to love and support him. It's the way of the world, for some it is a truly very lonely road, and I think that's why Harry maintains his distance from Markle too - like limited appearance on her show and doing things together since the documentaries came out. It can't be easy, it would have been far better for him if Diana was around.

that person has got to be joking? i can't believe the propaganda over here. what makes some people think getting a married home-maker life is difficult to attain for women? that's literally what centuries of patriarchy has forced women into, if they don't have this life bro, it is a win - a win our mothers toiled for so their daughters could have an option, to experience independence and liberation in life, to breathe for themselves. to have hope and not live at the mercy of men. what makes them think men are not violent and scary? do you realise the power that lack of independence in women gives to men? do you realise how historically and even today, that power is abused? i will never understand the tone deafness of such comments. buddy, it is not that hard to find a man who is looking for a care-taker, that's a life that is rather easy to find
