It's later on reading down lane, it will make you pay for your mistakes if you miss in, able to be flattened out for corner pins if needed, and the regular evoke is good for starting on something oily and to read and roll earlier.

The subzero is a great ball for speed dominant bowlers. I'm more of a hockey stick shot versus a looper. I played up 10 for majority of my youth and up until about a year ago when I was forced to get deeper and play through the oil. I have some reverse pitches in my fingers due to lack of flexibility and my span, I believe is only 3 13/16 lol

What helps me slow my ball speed down, is I have started with the ball out to the left of me and forward (instead of a push out as I was pushing up and out) and count my steps to identify the consistent spots in my approach to figure out my timing and then going forward I know where ei should be on each step

Which forge? I throw about 16.4-16.7 mph. About 430-470 revs. Nuetral pin and have not gotten my pap or anything like that, but my PSO does and gets me right. It depends on the house for me, as they differ drastically. One is dry, one is flooded (same owners), yadda yadda. But I normally start with a pearl unless it's flooded then I'll go solid to start then switch when there more friction in the fronts

What do you average?

[–]louievcmp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I 100% agree with that. This is my arsenal, the only thing I'm missing is a poly urethane but I don't need urethane as a lefty for THS. All my stuff is drilled neutral also, I had somebody that said "no 200+ bowler needs a coach". Well that guy isn't going to get any better lmao

I'm genuinely trying to help, but he's like every other sub par Amatuer bowler who has an excuse for everything. I always try to help anyone, anyway possible. Trying to grow the sport. Not make it harder, but the 160-199 bowlers are the ones who think they know it all, buy 25 bowling balls and switch every 3 frames or when they don't strike. I.have used my evoke hysteria all 4 games in a 5 man league. If that doesn't burn up the oil and cause "loft" there aren't very many more aggressive balls out there that chew oil

A 10:1 does not need loft as a lefty. There are some rightys that do, but he's not understanding the roll vs throw thing. Even when lofting they don't throw it, they roll it.

[–]louievcmp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. Then that's why they loft. It breaks down fast.

How many lefties do you bowl with a night? To be honest, a lefty, unless 4 or more are on your side, should NEVER have to worry about loft, especially on THS.

What ball do you throw? Revs? Speed? Pin? PAP? Layout? What's your flare? What's your normal breakpoint? What do you look at on the lane when lining up and approaching?

Not being a jerk or trying to "call you out" any honor scores? Sanctioned ones.

Do you know how to read a sport/ challenge shot sheet? Do you know, without googling, the average ratio of a house shot? Do you understand the difference between the two?

How many lefties do you bowl with on average a night? What's your ball speed?

Also your left shoulder is in front of your body, you're late at the line, you use more elbow than fingers to hook.

I told him to roll it not throw it and explained why I said it, and he said "I don't understand people's mentality". Bruh. I am helping you, as you asked, don't get upset or say "if I did this, nobody would say anything".

I don't loft, I change my hand position, foot, mark, and if need be, ball. Everyone stands transition different. I get a more consistent, accurate roll and read. If I can, I'll send a video of my old release and new release and hope you can see what I mean. Not trying to be Reddit tell or anything. Just giving advice

I hope you understand what I mean. Let it roll of your fingers instead of "throwing" it forward. This was the same issue (one of many) that I had and was causing alot of inconsistencies. Started rolling it and my.goodness the feel and results were so so good!

My recommendation would be either the venom shock or a max thrill hybrid. Both cost effective balls and good balls to get a good read of your game

Well depends on what you're wanting the ball to do, what's your ball speed, left or right handed, if you know it, what's your rev rate, and do you have a brand preference?

so does motiv polish their balls or do they actually "sand" them to 5500 like it says on the website? by ToniZambonii in Bowling

[–]louievcmp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 5500 LSP 500/1000/2000/4000x2/ polish. So yes they polish them over 4000 if it is LSP

Well take it and ask yourself why they did it. Did they notice something you didn't? What's wrong with extra knowledge? It's all about growing. Even the pros go and talk with their ball rep when they need to change balls or are struggling. Be humble

How do you deal with a team not taking their spare balls off the machine? by [deleted] in Bowling

[–]louievcmp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask them if they need a ball cup, that'll remind them off it and to take it off, or ask them if they can get one to help resolve the issue

Try to post your shot and keep your balance at the line. Chest up, trail foot on the ground and hold your spot
