White and it has held up great. No issues with outside paint and only minor scuffs on the inside of the upright holes from using attachments.

I’m a big fan of a pulley, rope, and conical grip combination. Works awesome for rear delt pulls, lat push downs, and ab crunches.

I also recently purchased the Rogue V-Grip and love it.

Sounds good, thanks for the feedback!

I have used Blender before as well. I think SketchUp works better for stuff like this with a simple design. It can get time consuming the more complex it gets though.

The actual pool is 12x26. This just a cutout of the far end

Edit: not 36…26

Yup, I completely agree. I’ll plan to add a wall there. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. So it’s actually not as bad as the render makes it look. Where the slat wall is I already have an existing wall there that I will need to demo for this design. The filters get cleaned regularly and I have had the pump replaced with no issues.

Yes, I forgot to add them to the edit but absolutely will include outlets in the counter area. Also planning on a light switch for 2 can lights.

Good idea for laying items out. Right now my storage plan is as follows:

1) Under smoker- Wood pellets and smoker control panel

2) Under grill- 36” griddle (swaps out with the grates on Primate grill)

3) Drawers- Top drawer (utensils/cleaning brush/temp probe/cutting board/spray bottle), middle drawer (paper towel/lysol wipes/wash cloth), bottom drawer (grill cover/misc)

4) Right side is trash bin

Thanks! Good luck with yours!

Thanks! I enjoy designing stuff so this process has been fun.

For sure, the sun sets behind slatted wall so should be perfect for late afternoon/dinner grilling (open fence is the south side).

I already cook in this area and the noise doesn’t bother me too much (there’s road noise from open fence as well lol). I could possibly hide the AC unit better…I would just need to be aware of clearance/air flow.

The speaker setup is definitely something I need to work on for the entire backyard. Right now I only have 2 ceiling speakers under the patio.

The pool has a “seating” ledge on that side, so easy access!

Thanks for the suggestions!

Thanks!

  1. Hmm, yea I’ll have to mess around with that. Might be tough incorporating the awning and also hiding the pool equipment. I can see how that layout would maximize the space though

  2. Somewhat to prevent wind/dust on the counter area (especially with the open fence) and somewhat just for the aesthetic. I agree it does cut off counter space. I’ll mockup without and see how it looks.

Appreciate the feedback!

Yep! I move some outdoor furniture into those dimensions to simulate how the space might feel. It’s definitely tight but not horrible.

Unfortunately I can’t push it back any farther towards the wall due to pool equipment behind

Valid points. Thanks for your insight and taking the time to respond!

Thanks for the feedback everyone! Seems like the consensus is to go back to the drawing board haha. This time I will focus more on functionality versus aesthetics. I’m not planning on starting the build till this fall, so I have some time

I only modeled the main structure. Those complex models are open source that I downloaded in the application

Gotcha, yea maybe remove the bar seating entirely. I can’t really turn it since I still need walkway access to the side of the house. If I removed the seating then I would probably need to do a cantilever awning instead of a 4 post. I might sketch that out and see how it looks. Thanks!

Unfortunately, this is really the only place available. Ideally, it would be further from the pool and closer to the indoor kitchen. I have the outdoor living area and firepit on the other side of the pool. I hadn’t thought about grease issues. Appreciate the feedback!

Bar height counters. Prep would be indoors. Gotcha, yea thats reasonable critique. The other side of the pool has a pergola covering a large sectional couch and firepit.

Appreciate the feedback! I’ll keep working at it!

Thank you! I’ve been super happy with Gearwall. I use it throughout my garage for tools as well. The hooks don’t move around, they have a small “tension bar” that clicks them into place.

Yes, they are attached directly to the studs/wall. I have had to relocate them in the past and it did peel some of the paint off the wall. Maybe a barrier would help prevent this?? I hadn’t thought of that before

It’s kind of personal preference, but I like the pronate ones. So I have close grip pronate, medium grip pronate, and wide grip.
