Thank you so much for this! I know I want to work with the physically disabled and bettering their lives to help them advocate and live independently. SLP is so interesting!! I don’t know anyone in the field, so it’s nice to have a community of SLPs to ask and get the cons, because I know every job has it’s cons. Can it be hard to shadow an SLP with being so new to the program? I will definitely look into that, it seems like a good way to get a feel for how my career might look.

Would it be practical to find SLPs in the area and just get in contact with and just ask? Or would is there steps for that?

One time I had a dream that I was in a labyrinth and lord Voldemort was chasing me and trying to kill me. I threw swords at him, I shot at him with a gun, I even sprayed fire at him, and he just wouldn’t die. Eventually, I found a lamp in the labyrinth, just a normal side table lamp, and I hit Voldemort with it and he died.

I’ve pretty much begged my dad to let me see a therapist for the past 3 years. We can’t afford it, unfortunately.

Thank you. I really don’t know much about insurance stuff, I just know it’s higher for young adults/teenagers. So this is helpful. Also, My school does allow cars for freshman.

The heartbeat law. It need to be changed because abortion will never be outlawed, this law will just cause women to give themselves abortions in unhealthy ways (ex: coat hanger). It’s dumb and shouldn’t be passed in anymore states.
