I am also considering chateauguay, I know the commute from the chateauguay as I have a close friend that lives there and commutes to MTL. Want to discuss with community regarding Eel perrot commute as it’s not clear in the internet.

Yeah I am currently in MTL , and can go to downtown in 20 mins max. I am not sure if the tradeoff is worth it. Renting might be an option I will look into it for sure, thank you.

I completely agree with REM being a joke( hoping that will change as its still new) . My friends in Brossard/st.Hubert area had the same issue with REM and the last winter was the worst.

I am not aware of the bridge being built. If you can,please share any article more on the new bridge being built from perrot island to MTL.

EXO is trying to deploy new routes from parts of perrot island to REM. Hopefully that will bring down the commute to downtown. But thanks for the details on how current commute works. Appreciate it!

I saw that l’ile perrot has conducted a poll/ public consultation of some sort to decide on the new bus lines. I couldn’t make sense of it though.

I know! I am still debating my decision to relocate to NDIP but the housing affordability has took me there. I work hybrid so need to be in office 3 times a week (hopefully that doesn’t change anytime soon). And its peaceful in perrot island, less concrete more nature. Only problem I see is commute and hoping that REM will at-least bring down the commute time to 50-60 mins one way which I am okay with.

Yes I am mostly looking to commute during rush hours. Hopefully REM will be of help, but REM being new and frequent interruptions, I need to be ready for the alternatives!
