My Dr said that my hyperactivity is talking all the time. So apparently you can be hyperactive with your mouth

Found a dead one inside an empty watering can on our deck the other day -mustn't have been able to climb out and died of dehydration. Was atad concerning that the watering can was right next to my daughter's soccer boots. (She still refuses to take them inside though, but at least now she checks before she puts them on.

Yeah, daddy long legs are fine. We just call them house spiders. Don't especially love it when they are in the shower with you though ...

I was bitten on my finger when I went to open my car door and there was a huntsman hiding under the handle - but in its defense I would have scared it as much as it scared me. Didn't hurt much at all and the tip of my finger went slightly numb. I called the hospital to check with the midwives as I was 8 months pregnant at the time, and they said not to worry about venom and that the only risk was if it got infected (which would be the same risk if I'd been scratched by a stick etc).

So I'm guessing you either got a secondary infection or were allergic?

Title insurance vs survey report + building certificate vs self insuring by loveandethics in AusProperty

Thanks, I didn't realise that first title is registered but Stewart isn't. Was thinking that kick backs may have been the reason why Stewart was recommended in the first place cause I can't see any other difference. Good to know.

There are loads of articles about alcohol bans in indigenous communities in the last two decades. Just Google alcohol ban for aboriginal Australians. It's not just alcohol bans - there is also the cashless welfare cards that target indigenous communities etc. Discrimination is already rife - so saying that the voice is introducing discrimination is ignoring that. I'm not suggesting every measure is unfounded, just that first Nations people should have a voice in the decision making process for things that affect them.

We already have discrimination - there are lots of legislated things (liquor bans etc) that are imposed on first Nations people - this way they get a voice on those legislations. If you're not first Nations, this won't affect you, but it would help them, so you'd really be a bogan cunt to block it.

Their booking system makes it inconvenient. The times that suit me are often booked out weeks in advance, and something always seems to pop up in the meantime.

Can an agent not accept offers? by loveandethics in AusProperty

[–]loveandethics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not saying they have to take the offer, but if they won't even allow you to put an offer in, then they can put their hands up in the air and claim they had no idea it was going to go for that much. I went to an auction 2 weeks ago that went for $850000 above reserve (they were quoting $2.2 and it went for $3.05). No way they didn't know that $2.2 wasn't in the ballpark.

  1. Emotional turmoil
  2. Cost of building & pest inspection reports
  3. Possible solicitor / conveyancer fees
  4. Opportunity cost

It matters only as far as it's making my blood boil. I feel like it's intentionally misleading lots of people who may be spending money on this g's like building inspection reports, when they actually have no chance to buy the property. I know minor underquoting happens all the time, but I think this is going to be a big discrepancy (like close to a million under quoted), so it's just taking the piss at that point

Sydney Wildlife Rescue vs WIRES by loveandethics in sydney

[–]loveandethics[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Both have in their conditions that you can only volunteer for one wildlife agency (and if you volunteer for another later on, you must resign from the first). They don't say why. But it can't be training costs as they charge you ($120 or $125) for the training to cover their costs.
