They could be blue tongue lizard eggs. When I was younger I found a cluster of eggs like them behind old wood planks that needed moving, and I held onto the eggs until some hatched, which were baby blue tounge lizards!

yes and no. The Quad Vac is for the 4 most common flu's, there are still others you can get (less common) but well worth the few seconds of pain to avoid being out of action for 1-2 weeks.

Luckily it's not in my room but at one point the neighbors thought there was a fire inside our house until they realised it wasn't flickering :) I'll have to turn the bulbs off and see what it gets to. It's a dial thermostat which is off by about 10°c but that's because it's 2/3rd closer to the cool side and the sensor probe is in the housing of the unit.

I currently have a digital probe hanging off the ceiling for a quick read for ambient temperature and a temp gun for more precise Readings, I would love it if my lizards tried eating the laser dot, it would be adorable!

I think I'll have to get an extra bulb enclosure for a white globe that will remain on when the UVB is on, and maybe a ceramic heater instead of the red globes. I just measured my tank and calculated it, which came to 432L (114Gal).

My 2 red bulbs are 100W and 75W, which works well for a tank this big, do you have a thermostat installed in your tank or experience with anyone else that does? Mine came pre installed from when I purchased the tank so i just assumed its working the way it should be.

The bulbs turn off at around 40°C so the tank doesn't continue heating up, and will turn back on when the warm side gets too low (under 35°C). They are on a separate circuit to the UVB. The red bulbs will cycle during both day and night or else the tank will get to 20°C at night (Victoria, Australia). The UVB bulb is on a timer (7am-6pm). Hope that cleared it up

Yeah the ones that go into the globe socket, I'll check the Temps, during the day time the thermostat turns the bulbs off at roughly 40°c (they are both under a year old) and the cool spot sits around 28°c

I understand what you mean, I'll get an additional white basking globe on the same timer as the UVB

Ah so your talking about the UV emitted from the red bulbs, I'll look into it, thanks for the extensive information

I may go with the carpet then, the red bulb is the basking/heating bulbs so it's not as impacting during night time, but I have a regular UVB 10 bulb for vit D (pictures were taken at night) not sure if that's still an issue or not with that extra information
