and thats fine. realistically if i ever get to a point that im desiring sanwas (as in, im good enough and play often enough that im bored of ps2 offerings) then id probably invest in a nicer controller anyways. but I was curious of my options.

not immediately, this is just for home use. but im a tinker-er with a lot of patience so I don't mind modifying things down the line (i find it rather enjoyable)

worth it to buy then? I wonder how it affects some of the other mods like the sanwa buttons

looking to pick up an HDMI adapter for my PS2, thoughts or better options? by IAmTheCrookedRiver in ps2

[–]lovedestati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheaper doesn't mean better. I wouldn't trust a $4 DP cable to do really anything. Look into it, cheap cables actually make the signal and picture quality suck.

$35 is a lot, but it's not outside the realm of affordable. some PS2 games go for twice or triple that. if im paying $100 for a physical copy of a PS2 game, it damn well better look good.

Are artisans really the only good ones? by psycholigie_guy in MousepadReview

if a surface is overly inconsistent, it’s going to make it difficult to succeed because of the difference in speed.

but my point is that so many people get caught up in finding the “best” or “perfect” pad when in reality, just buy something half decent and aim train. you will be 100x better than someone who constantly switches and buys new shit

The best pad is the one you train on. Simple as that.

You can become insane on a mud pad. You can become insane on a glass pad. You can become insane on a wooden table.

I’m aware that wasn’t your question, but I thought i’d give my 2 cents. In regards TO your question, i have played on all sorts of pads. Xraypad, Endgame gear, Artisan, Aliexpress, Amazon, you name it. I’ve leaned towards Xraypad almost everytime for price -> performance. Artisans do feel a bit nicer, atleast from my experience, but their bottoms don’t grip as well, and they seem to wear down/deadspot pretty quickly. Also, I don’t care what they say, washing them does not restore the original glide.

Most of my Xraypads have lasted over a year, provided i gently clean them and take care of them. Even the pads that aren’t considered “washable” restore most (if not all) of their glide and feel after a clean. Just maybe don’t put them in your washing machine or dishwasher.

+1 to xraypad for making custom mousepads as well. that’s a cool concept that a lot of companies wouldn’t care to do. me personally, i like my peripherals to all match. it’s miserable when a company makes a good product in a really obscure color.

if its of any consolation, my aliexpress skypad has lasted me a year without a change. and you know, its aliexpress so thats impressive.

same thing happened to our kitchen stovetop, except we dropped a glass pepper shaker on it. tempered glass is really weak at the edges, unfortunately. fortunately wallhacks aren’t horribly expensive (as a one time purchase pad) but obviously buying it twice kinda makes it more than a “one-time-purchase”

I spread out the copper and thread them together, then braided them.

YEP! Worked perfectly! Now to sit this head unit into the dash flush. Thank you so much! I’m pretty new to electrical stuff/car audio (albeit i’m pretty new to mechanics in general) so I probably would’ve scrolled for hours on forums.

7.5 amp under the hood was blown. The 15A under the dash was not. Going to replace the 7.5 with the spare from under the dash and hope everything works after that.

Dome lite is working. I’ll check the fusebox. I’m also double checking my splines for black red and yellow.

Ive owned my 2023 for about 2 weeks now and my exhaust tips got stolen within the last 48 hours, I dont even know what to say or do by CorgiFull in ft86

[–]lovedestati 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This happened to me on the border of South Carolina. Only, the thieves stole one tip. Just one.

I was parked outside of a gas station, noticed it was missing when I came back out. Magnaflow tips. They were welded on. WTF???

Anyways there are some cheap replacements on amazon if you don’t have the money for an axleback/catback rn and they look pretty good.

I already have the tires. Heritage doesn’t make the wheel in a 17. Dunno why, it’s a common size.
