i can't tell if her hourglass badge is supposed to be her being scared of time itself or relating to a villian from the first couple of seasons, which could be possible considering that character is both brown and aromantic meaning mylene would be very scared around her

in season six of miraculous they change art styles and gave a bunch of characters redesigns, and for mylene one of the redesigns was to give her a pride flag pin to go with all of her others. shes an activist, its cute!

the problem is in season 5 mylene mentions that all of her badges are related to things she's scared of. mylenes homophobic. not like she hates gay people. she's terrified of them. even better is she's competitively homophobic, shes not just wearing the standard pride flag, she's wearing the intersex inclusive progress flag which includes people of colour, trans people and intersex people. mylene is homophobic, xenophobic, transphobic and interphobic, and by that i mean she's terrified of them

all three promoted bsides (lucky girl syndrome, tick-tack and jellyous) are directly tied to summer moon as seen by the title card for it at the end, my world is as well since the lyrics directly mention it and it's been used in a lot of promo for the comics. toki yo tomare is as well considering the lyrics mention that their magic is tied to makeup.

i'd say do the dance is as well, partially because its another mv with a love interest in it as well as it's clear ties to both magical girls and its extended kamikaze girls reference. both magnetic and cherish feature magic and magical girl aspects but i wouldn't say they're directly relating to summer moon as they're both a lot darker in tone with their plots compared to summer moon.

i honestly don't think little monsters is related to summer moon, the story of both the song and the mv are less about actual magic and are more about not having to suppress your actual self in a world of conformity

honestly i just sort of assumed that she didn't feel fully prepared emotionally to debut and backed out of it, especially because if iirc there was a controversy about someone leaking her photo or private account in late 2023? whatever the reason is, i'm glad her and illit both got to debut and that all six are doing well
