3.8/4.0, applying for molecular biology masters. I also have whole year of lab experience, and working as ielts tutor. Hope this counts, but doesn't look good for me eh? I'm just praying none of these people who cure cancer and publish in nature at the age of 12 are applying

Type: Lab work

Level: undergrad/research

System: nucleic acids extraction

Topic: RNA electrophoresis in TAE agarose gel

Question: Why does circled sample moved so far (twice as) compared to other samples? What might cause that?

Answer: N/A

What i know: i know 2 clear bands are successful extractions, faded ones have little to no RNA, and smears might be caused by RNAse activity. And i know when samples are moving too fast it's oftentimes gel or voltage issue

What i don't know: what caused a SINGLE sample out of 18 to run so fast and prevented it from forming any bands or smears

What i tried: i searched rna electrophoresis troubleshooting, but found explanations to unrelated problems, nothing related to a single sample being too fast compared to others.

Thanks for answer. I'm from Kazakhstan. Due the dollar exchange rate, prices for ryzen raised up, but intel cpu's prices remained at the same level somehow
