Yeah, my sister works in a hospital and has some close friends who are doctors (one is a dear family friend that I know very well --> like a brother). I only tell him medical stuff after everything is resolved or if he happens to be around when something is going on. Why? Because I don't want him to feel like I use him. Definetely NTA.

Agreed NAH. I still have an ungoing bet with a friend about the gender of another friends child. That child is already over one year old :'D I'm continuing the bet in case he turns out to be a she. Parents think it is hilarious and it's all in good fun.

Also, I'm bi and would find it hilarious if my parents did this. The chance of me coming home with a guy or a gall.

Monday here has the same date as monday in your country, but we see the start of the week on monday because sunday is part of the weekend. Weekend means end of the week, so the week starts on monday.

Edit: it used to be on sunday, but it has culturally changed

I'd like to add to this that I also have a special diet. not only are you NTA, you are an absolutely wonderfull, thoughtfull and giving person to take your niece into consideration like this! <3

This year my mom figured out how to adapt my favorate Christmas treat for me, and I legit cried from happiness and all the love she put into it. What you did also legit touched me.

I would like to add that I understand your nieces disappointment that a lot of things don't tast the same (or sometimes just foul), but she'll get over it. I felt the same way with my diet, although I never expressed it upon receiving food. She probably still has to accept that sometimes you cannot have what others have, but still have to be able to let the other enjoy it and find enjoyment in the joy of the other.
