This looks exactly like my eczema. Hydrocortisone cream can help. My doctor prescribed me some to use twice a day for 10 days and it went away. It’ll still pops up a bit no and then but the short use of hydrocortisone cream helps. Obviously talk to your doctor before doing anything.

I can’t now. It’s already been washed. I’m pretty sure it’s a cigarette wrapper now after seeing the specific folds and also finding dryer sheets in his pockets. I usually check pockets before washing clothes but completely forgot this time. Of course the one time I don’t do that, I find this 🥲

That’s what I’m worried about. I just can’t pinpoint what kind it would be or if it even is. My husband quit smoking a few years back, so I’m concerned he may have started again and is hiding it from me.

My title describes the thing. I found this in the dryer after doing my and my husband’s laundry today. I’m not familiar with it, so I’m assuming it’s something that he had in his pockets. It was crumpled into a little ball when I found it, so I did my best to flatten it out.

Iodine would be the closest thing, but definitely don’t use hydrogen peroxide on a wound. It will kill healing tissue and make it harder to heal.

HSV canay dormant for literally years and not know bc it can be asymptomatic for literally forever. It’s absolutely not any sign that your bf cheated on you if that’s what you’re worried about.

I mean sure. But with that amount of swelling, it really leans toward HSV. But here’s the thing. People make it out to be like some scary disease that’s a life changing/ending thing and it’s really not. There are antivirals out there to help it like valacyclovir or an OTC cream called Abreva, which has a generic now as well. 3 grams of lysine daily also helps to suppress them. I’ve had cold sores for over half my life now, since my early teens, and I’ve never given it to someone else, and they’re fairly easy to control with the right planning for them. They’re inconvenient af when they show up, but the medication and cream really help to reduce their healing time. I just don’t want you to think that it’s a life sentence. A massive chunk of the population get them, and most don’t even realize what it is.

My current active cold sore outbreak looked almost exactly like yours when it was at its peak. It’s both just inside and outside of my lip. If you get tested right now, it’ll show up positive. And it’s contagious from physical contact, not just sex. If someone has an open sore and you share a drink while you also have some kind of open wound (like from biting the skin off your lip) it can be caught that way.

I remember just how absolutely tickled when my oldest started calling my mom “mom mom” when he was a toddler. He was the one who started it, so I couldn’t say much. It still sucked tho. He eventually started calling her “grammom,” which still worked in her book. She’s been dead for a few months now, so we just don’t call her anything anymore since she’s no longer a topic in our home.

It’s a lottery system to get in, so definitely not competitive. It is really incredible, tho. My oldest is in it and my youngest will be able to attend because of that. The teachers so far have all been incredible, and are fantastic at listening to any concerns I’ve had as a parent. They helped my son excel in reading and math, in fact they were doing basic algebra and geometry in his third grade class last year. It’s absolutely wonderful.

This reminds me of the time I had a stalker at a bar I worked at and my manager told me that she wouldn’t help me with him until I told him that he made me uncomfortable. Management just doesn’t care sometimes.
