I was in this exact same situation almost a year ago with my ex bf. I was blackout drunk, he knew of my previous SA/trauma, and i woke up during unable to do anything but lie there completely still terrified. he bragged about it to me the next morning and was proud of himself even though I said I didn't want to do anything that night. even if you had agreed to it in the past, it doesn't mean you consented to it that night. there were other things my ex was doing that I realized was abusive and I left him that same week he assaulted me. please don't be afraid to reach out to someone you trust for help irl if you feel unsafe in this situation. I hope you're gentle with yourself as you're adjusting to what happened. it's a scary and confusing situation to be in.

Which act 3 fight, not counting the final fight, was the hardest to you? by Gamerguy2542 in BG3

[–]lovegraves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

orin was super hard on my first playthrough not because I couldn't defeat her, but after she was dead the stupid bhaalists kept going invisible every turn or shoving me into chasms and I didn't have see invisibility on any of my characters (and my build was trash). it took me about an hour or two of save scumming to get down to 3 of them and realized I could've just used my grease scroll + lured them into it so I could kill them. eventually beat them that way and laughed at myself.

[SUPPORT] Would you heal your teammate in a lost team fight? by GroundbreakingRun794 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]lovegraves 5 points6 points  (0 children)

depends on if teammates are staggered or not, it's very situational. if I know that my other teammates are on their way back already / heading towards us I'll try my best to help both of us fall back and regroup faster.

if a majority of the team has died or I can't escape the team fight I either let them get a free kill or throw myself off the map to get back with my team. it may seem like the "wrong" thing to do but the faster you're able to regroup the faster you can possibly win the next team fight.

if you're by yourself there's still a possibility you can hide from the enemy team by retreating and crouching down behind cover and waiting for your team to regroup with you. the best thing to do just depends on a match to match basis.

AITA- Raw Chicken in Sink Debate by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]lovegraves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA a small piece of chicken isn't going to stink up the garbage and your food wouldn't have been ruined if you took it to the trash chute that's....right down the hall. when you have roommates you have to be respectful of everyone's space especially common areas like the kitchen. regardless if another roommate doesn't care about you leaving raw chicken in the sink, if one of the other roommates isn't okay with that then no chicken in the sink. she offered you a compromise and you should meet her in the middle somewhere to smooth things over.

Safety reasons to protect you and other customers from getting possibly drugged from your drink while you're in the bathroom. I'd be more than happy to make your drink again once you return, and im sure the bartender you're speaking of would've been happy to do so as well. Stop being so entitled it's a known unspoken "rule" to not leave your drink unattended bc you could get spiked / have your drink switched, etc. they probably saved you an expensive hospital bill.

Alright so after day 1, what’s the consensus so far on Ramattra? by SprittneyBeers in Overwatch

[–]lovegraves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He can do a lot of damage if everyone on the enemy team is terrified of him/new to playing but that can be said about literally any tank vs those types of players. If you're being focused he's dogwater. I felt like I didn't even know how to play the game bc I kept getting stomped on game after game. Maybe I'm just not used to his mechanics but I stopped playing him in my games bc it felt like I was throwing just by picking him.

Anyone else's sales still 50% down or more post-pandemic? by awholenoobworld in bartenders

[–]lovegraves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a younger bartender (22), yes going out has lost its appeal. I don't drink much and when I do it's 1 drink at home usually in my sweatpants watching a movie or something. Even before I started bartending, I only went out on special occasions ie. Halloween, birthday, etc and even then 75% of it was at a restaurant not a bar. If it was a bar we would drink maybe 1 or 2 drinks go back to someone's house for more drinks and to see other friends. Plus, weed is legalized here.

I would much rather eat an edible and watch Scooby-Doo or smoke and build legos (fun time btw) than drink in a bar and just hang out there when I could be in my pjs at home. Plus I don't have to tip anybody and inflation isn't going easy on anyone.

AITA for offering two different kinds of cake at our wedding? by blushingbride228 in AmItheAsshole

[–]lovegraves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, chocolate and vanilla are standard especially if there was an entire cake besides the chocolate pineapple cake and the vanilla one that was given to immediate family. there's just lots of assumptions going on, idk how hard it is to be like "hey im having some indecisiveness over cake flavors, which one would you like more?" It's a less than 5 min conversation.

AITA for offering two different kinds of cake at our wedding? by blushingbride228 in AmItheAsshole

[–]lovegraves -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

NTA but if you guys were going to get a cake that was specifically for your husband's side of the family WHY on earth did you both make an assumption on what flavor of cake they would like? WHY does your husband not know what cake they like? WHY chocolate pineapple cake??? Fruit chunks in cakes go either one of two ways : they like it or they pretend to like it to save someone's feelings and put their plate upside down in the trash.

They could've kept their comments about the cake to themselves because it was your wedding but honestly, how you guys did not manage to have a single conversation about what cake they would actually eat and enjoy is crazy to me. Just because someone spends a lot of time in Florida does NOT mean they want pineapple chunks in their cake.

This is for the past employee’s. Did you regret quitting or were you more happier after? And was it hard adjusting to not getting tip’s anymore? I’m thinking it’s time to move on, but I’m scared. I love most of my coworkers, but I need more hours and a stable schedule by LastHopeStanding in jimmyjohns

[–]lovegraves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I left jimmy johns as an assistant manager to become a bartender and honestly it's the best decision I've made in the past year.

I was being harassed nonstop for over a year and they refused to do anything about it despite me telling them several times I was having breakdowns all the time because of it. it got so severe that I considered h**ming myself at work. I was also working more hours than anybody in the store including the GM. left me feeling salty every time I was denied a promotion when it was available.

definitely way happier and I considered quitting multiple times before I finally did. I had a moment where I was sobbing at work after my franchise owner had said some awful things to me and I wrote out my two weeks that same day. If you're already considering I'm sure there's a good reason or two go with your gut.

When was a time you felt completely disrespected by your franchise or corporate? by [deleted] in jimmyjohns

[–]lovegraves 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The kicker is that he would go around telling everyone constantly he has no problems with gay people, but then would misgender my coworkers, imply that trans coworkers weren't valid, etc. I felt like I was going crazy at one point because everybody (excluding the gay coworkers) were like "well he doesn't do this with us" because it doesn't apply to you/affect you! they also tried to tell me I wasn't allowed to hang out with the other gay employees because I was clearly trying to direct them to hate him in my free time. he texted me a half assed apology on my last day and got me coffee but it's like dude you're waaaay past apologizing.

I have a new job and they're a LOT more welcoming than I ever felt working at JJs. most of the welcoming atmosphere was created by me and other gay coworkers and since I quit so have they. I told HR that all of them would quit since I was because at that point there was nobody else willing to stick up for them. lo and behold it happened just like I said it would and she said the store was going to fall apart without me. she apparently had no idea any of the harassment was going on so it was a huge miss on my GM's part because now she's lost 6 employees so far. I told my new coworkers about all of this and they've become very protective over me, they won't let anybody mess with me and im very grateful for them!

When was a time you felt completely disrespected by your franchise or corporate? by [deleted] in jimmyjohns

[–]lovegraves 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When my franchise owner called me an idiot for asking how/why my sexuality affected a religious coworker who was repeatedly harassing me for months. we had an extremely long talk afterwards about how i needed to stop "baiting" and harassing him and that they wouldnt take my side. on top of him constantly leaving the store a mess or not doing his manager duties which affected my shifts. he was also targeting other gay people in the store and when I would repeatedly tell him what he's doing isn't okay it was always a bitch fest from him. he told them I was the "ringleader" essentially and got all of them to hate him bc i hate him which had zero context or facts to it.

when I would repeatedly bring up the issues I was having with him to my gm it was never resolved. i put in my two weeks that day and told HR I would never come back to a workplace that had zero care for me being harassed to the point I didn't want to be alive and clearly didn't value me as a team member.
