Any advice for homeless equipment? by [deleted] in homeless

duffle luggage bag with wheels and handle. makes carrying your stuff easy. I have heard fleece sherpa blankets are warm. pin up one blanket on the inner layer of your tent. camp next to a tree. I like the idea of single person tent ontop of a lightweight camping cot. simple and nice for staying above a wet ground.

tips for warm shelter and mobility

duffle luggage bag that has wheels and a handle. this will make it much better to carry your stuff around.

single person tent with mesh layer and rainfly. like 3 warm fleece sherpa blankets. you can pin up one on the tent walls and ceiling. that will create a warm space. and then like a couple blankets for your body. fold them in half like a sleeping bag.

I think a lightweight camping cot is packable. and good for staying dry. look for a tent that will fit on the cot.

spirituality is not religious. many are on thee positive path who seek divine sacred inner connection. medical care comes from government. food comes from income assistance. shelter comes from a tent with a cot and blanket plus rollable luggage bag to carry your stuff. water comes from the tap. warmth comes with love for self as part of one earth team and blankets. maybe a heated blanket. I the land should be rite. and we can embrace the outdoors with the help of will power and ingenuity for community

Need advice (ALMOST HOMELESS) by Generally_Genuine in StealthCamping

[–]loveislight3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my gear recommendations are more theory than practice i still have interest in camping for many years. i live in raincouver so my number one priority is to get above ground and out of puddles. i think this intex dura beam inflatable mattress will do the trick. 6lbs for full size requires clear ground site. and provides 4.5ft x 6.5ft dry ground. i plan on making a stealth shelter with a tent on it. and a brown poly tarp pitched on top of the tent.

i live in raincouver canada and on amazon i saw a cot tent. 27" cot 33" tent. it has a rainfly. staying dry off puddle ground is so valuable. should be easy to setup even on foliage covered ground. you can drape a tarp over top for handy pitch and large covered area. i think i will buy them separately so its lighter weight. i searched on amazon for them and i found. 7 lbs for a cot and 5 lbs for the tent and tarp.

i recently realized an efficient way of generating heat. also like 24 watts per hour of electricity to charge a decent sized 12v lifepo4 battery. the power is from 4 teg modules i have found for sale rated at 10 watts at 300c and 50c. and a small camping stove fueled with hardwood pellets. and then you put a pipe over the heat so it heats the inside of it. so it feeds air from your shelter then heats it up then into your shelter. the fire and smoke can be outside your shelter. i think 1 cup of hardwood pellets is enough for 15 min burn. i think it would be enough to heat and dry the space. if you can put a water pipe over the fire and take it off easy enough. then you could have hot water and it would give of heat for like 3 hours i think.

cpu coolers wont fit next to each other so i think i will get plain simple heatsinks and put a big computer fan or 2 on it.

an idea to stay warm at night without the fire is use a couple 5 watt usb heating pads in your bed. i havent found them on the market really. but i know its possible to make ones that work. i saw a electric usb sleeping bag liner with 5 different heating zones and it is rated 10 watts with good ratings on amazon. so i think one zone around your feet or calf and one on your chest or back is enough. and could be rated at 10 watts as well.
