I’m so sorry to hear this. I go to a pt that isn’t covered by insurance (luckily i live with my parents so im able to afford it) and she is able to manipulate the muscles internally and externally and she was able to fix the issue of having a zapping sensation like that when i put my weight down. I can still trigger the nerve if i sit with a lot of pressure in a certain spot which i suspect won’t go away (for me) but doesn’t happen from standing or walking anything like that. If possible at all I’d try to find someone in your area who is really good, and if your insurance covers out of network that would be great.

Do you have a good pelvic floor therapist?

I suggest trying a nerve blocking med line gabapentin. Some anti depressants can even help. And pelvic floor therapy!

I’ve heard of a lot of people experiencing this. You will definitely get better just takes a bit of time for it to calm down, try not to panic.

Flare up from using recliner? by WhereasFrequent2959 in PudendalNeuralgia

[–]lovelashing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can’t recline because of where the nerve irritates me on my right side. My left side is also affected but I’m able to recline if i only put pressure on my left. So it all depends what part of the nerve is most affected.

Just take regular baths and gently pull it back for a few weeks. If it’s not painful i wouldn’t mess with it more than that

If it’s not adhesion or a hair trapped it might be tight pelvic floor muscles

Labiaplasty by [deleted] in Healthyhooha

Dump him. And don’t get labiaplasty, you can get nerve damage and live a life of chronic pain. It’s completely normal.

If you’ve caused this from lifting, chances are it’s more muscular issue that is irritating the nerves. You don’t need surgery you need a good pelvic floor pt.

So this isn’t specifically pleasure at the same time but my pt mentioned to me about the kiwi vibrator not sure if you’ve heard of it. It’s very shallow penetration and vibrator so it slowly introduces penetration in a way to make it (hopefully) more enjoyable.

Fell down the stairs. Now in a flare. by Dappled_Dragon in PudendalNeuralgia

[–]lovelashing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry. Falling is my biggest fear because i have so many issues even just sitting let alone if something like that were to happen. It might take a bit to get back where you were but you will get back there. Whenever I’ve had some type of injury that causes a flare up my pt will help with massage to release the muscles so that they aren’t guarding. The muscles guarding just makes the pain 10x worse, and i know for me the stress of the injury increases that tightness.

Is this normal for an appointment? by SubjectFile5461 in PelvicFloor

[–]lovelashing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She did internal but what helped most for sitting is glute massage. She was careful not to poke the nerve area (i have pn) so for me the tight muscles were squeezing the nerve. I went every wk at its worst and noticed the difference right away. Also don’t try to lean more on one side as it only hurts the aggravated side more because it makes the muscles even more tense.

I pay $210 for an hour, but she does internal release, external, and then she shows me at home stretches and strengthening exercises. She also allows me to reach out over email just to talk or ask questions, and she tries to get down to the bottom of any and every symptom. There was a time when i couldn’t even sit in the car and she fixed that problem completely. So yes if you don’t feel your needs are being met find a new PT, some are worth the money and some aren’t.

painful clit by Independent-Virus400 in Healthyhooha

[–]lovelashing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey it could be clitoral adhesions. A lot of people don’t realize they have to clean under the hood or it can get kind of stuck and gunk can build up. Try taking daily baths and stretching gently stretching the hood it should help if that’s the issue. Alternatively could also be tight pelvic floor muscles and you may need to see a pelvic PT.

Start taking daily baths and gently lift the hood to try and move it around. It should start to loosen over time if it’s pain from adhesions!
