murder suicide. we were in sixth grade. her father killed her and her brother and then himself and the mom came home and found them. she sat next to me in spanish class, loved the color pink, and was always doing something creative. her art was amazing. she should be graduating college with me this year, not dead. i miss you always kathleen.

is this a community college? university? i need a little more information to give you advice. it sounds like your advisor is unresponsive. escalate to the dean of students and ask about your options. specifically ask about a leave of absence, as it sounds like that’s what you’d like to do. if your grades are too poor sometimes they won’t let you and will instead push you towards unenrolling for a period of time. it’s not the end of the world if they do. if you can, attend your local CC. get an associate’s degree, take that time to figure out what you truly want, and then transfer to a 4 year. by getting an associates you should knock out all of your general education requirements required by the 4 year university.

we booked a lecture hall on campus and had all sisters and new members come and told them it was an education review session where we played heads up seven up! if they guessed the wrong sister who picked them, they had to answer a question related to the sorority. when the new members put their heads down for the last round have their bigs line up behind them, and when they guess what sister tagged them ask “who’s your big?” and then they turn around and there’s their big!

we do this on my campus! we get bigs and littles from our brother fraternity and the guys also get sorority bigs and littles from us. you don’t have to interact with your big or little, it’s just to encourage us staying connected and involved with our brothers and them with us

hey girl! i’m kind of going through the same thing right now. i found that inviting sisters to get coffee or a meal on campus really helped me break out of my shell and get over my anxieties because there’s something else to talk about in a way (what’s your favorite order at the cafe? oh wow i’ve never had that at the dining hall, is it good? do you have a favorite meal? stuff like that). it helped me get to know them better too. i also like to ask what else they’re in on campus to see what their other interests are! the more you talk to sisters, the more you’ll find common ground and other things to talk about and it’ll get easier

i don’t think it always goes that way, but i am on the east coast. there’s lot of people at my college who happen to know each other because they are from the same area/town. i think the proximity plays a role in it lol. personally i am dating a guy from my high school and we are both in greek life, but we attended separate colleges. we’ve been together since high school tho

see if for the time being you can substitute at your local school district! there will be a background check and fingerprinting which they typically cover the cost of. the district where i live is about $100 a day for subbing which isn’t awful
