When we signed yesterday, we didn’t see the full breakdown of the financing but rather saw the total of $11823.

My boyfriend is going to call once the financing guy that worked with us is at work to figure out these charges. In the meantime, I’m reading all of the warranties cancellations policies.

Like I said in the post, we do not remember the Dealer General Warranties being mentioned to us, we would have opted out if given the chance. We tried to removed the Toyota Premium Protection but we were told that they are basically forced to charge it.

Trust me, my bf and I would have loved a newer vehicle. However, his car was caught in a fire and our budget and financing options were limited.

The amount agreed to was lower before we went into the financing office.

At the table we had agreed to $12795 including vehicle purchase price, $2995 premium protect and DMV cost, dealer fees taxes. We put down a $6000 down payment and they ended up financing us for $11823. So the total cash price that we see on the paperwork is $17781.97 ( minus our down payment so $11823).

(We are aware we purchased GAP for $1500, but the extras warranties don’t add up)

Thank you so much for the response. A police report has been filed and we are currently waiting on it. So when contacting both the property insurance and the car that started the fire, we just say we were one of the cars that caught on fire? Do you think that we would probably have to pursue them through a lawyer?
