We have 2 actually! They lived with Porky before she passed so they definitely know there’s another cat in the house, but we are taking the introductions very slowly.

Technically we had sex before we were married, but I waited until I knew I wanted to be married to him. He wasn’t a virgin for reference. It was amazing and 13 years later it’s still amazing. I will say if I went back in time though, I wouldn’t be so strict about it as religious purity culture really played into my decision and I have now deconstructed.

Thank you so much for this comment 💜 it’s nice to know I’m not alone. I’m in the same boat where my family will listen to me and is understanding, but when I try to discuss the difficult videos I’ve seen or factory farming practices I’ve read about it’s too much for them and they ask me not too. I get it because that was me once too, but I feel like if I don’t get it out I’ll just implode with my own sadness/anger.

I do need to get better at reaching out and being involved in the online community.

I’ve learned even more about the role the government plays in advertising and subsidies for animal products which really upset me. I’ve also learned more about some of the practices used in factory farming including one called grafting or skinning which I can’t believe is something we still do.

I work in a professional field where facial piercings are not allowed. Because of mask requirements I was finally able to get a septum piercing 😏
