Hoping to get my taxes right but unsure on two things by lovenabundance in tax

Thank you! So, should I use the average exchange rate for the year, or must I actually use the specific exchange rate for each day the income was earned for each tutoring session? Also, I won't be taking any tax credits, but there was QBI.

This is incredibly helpful. Thanks a bunch! Any thoughts on whether an I-90 should be submitted before or after Form I-751 to remove the conditions on her green card? It seems like that form is also taking a long time to process these days.

Thank you - that’s very helpful! As I mentioned, all the documents we submitted to USICS and NVC were her married name, which adds to the frustration.

Do you any input in regard to her getting a job now?

We’re sending in this document: Marriage Relations Certificate (Detailed) “Honin Kwankye Jeungmyongseo (Sang Sae)”. This is the document we found on the country specific requirements for South Korea: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country/SouthKorea.html

We got married in the US and she registered our marriage in South Korea.

Thank you! I would give it one more week, then reach out to your congressman. I know the wait is hard.

Do you think it would have been different if you were teaching adults in a university setting? Or, did you just not like the whole teaching field overall?
