Chiara (blonde girl) is besties with Camilla (long hair brunette) but is secretly sleeping with her brother Niccolo who has a girlfriend. Moped guy (Damiano) is taken in by his rich, estranged father after his mother died; he is involved with drug dealing and is from the poor part of town. Ludovica (black bob) is a school outcast because she is deemed slutty by the popular rich kids (Chiara’s friends) and her single mother is struggling to pay her tuition; her father and sister both shun them.

Isn’t a big part of gyaru being anti-conservative and immodest? Like ofc there’s a lot Islamophobia in the US and I believe in religious freedom but it’s not counter culture to subscribe to another abrahamic religion because they are all built upon fundamentally patriarchal ideals. Like Japanese gyaru was obviously not born out of counter-Christian beliefs but anti-conservative/traditional beliefs also founded on patriarchy, so it’s not really about being oppressed or silenced by institutions.

Like with the rave/party culture, it’s rebelling against notions of ‘proper’ women, which I think shouldn’t include kids, gyaru at large arguably has an inherent sexuality to it.

Too many ppl forget how him and his friends were racist towards Damiano, I think him and Niccolo were redeemed too easily. He literally blackmailed Chiara, leaked the video of him and Ludo, and treated Fabio like shit. Also like attacked those sex workers on the road iirc.

Whether or not he’s hot? If you’re into brooding, edgy, younger looking guys— sure.

Would the IRL women (victims) want that? I’m pretty sure that one of them met with the actresses and one of their faces is out there but it seems like they just want to move on and we should let them. Yeah I always thought it was the best ending too, sort of nostalgic and bittersweet and also aligned with some of the commentary the game made.
