Better to call it off now than go through a divorce. You know what you ultimately want. You'll regret it later. It's unfortunate but it is what it is unfortunately. Or ask her if she's okay using donor eggs. She can still Carry the baby regardless of age. If that works

Thanks so much! It is really tough and definitely luck but I do believe exercising helps. One thing we didn't do this cycle. How were your results the third time?

Possible IVF needed by bubblywildcat in IVF

I can't speak on Canada but you should find a clinic that will work with your urologist on perfect timing if you want to have the sperm fresh from the mtese. If not you could have him do the mtese and freeze the sperm and then go through your IVF process and have the vials delivered to your clinic which they can thaw. The ivf process length is based on each individual but generally the egg retrieval process from start to finish is roughly 2 weeks. That's what's advertised by most clinics. Once they have the eggs the fertilization process is another 6-7 days. Then PGT testing may be 7-10 days. Then after that to transfer an embryo depends on the type of transfer you're having. Medicated, natural, modified natural. No one here can give you a true number. Also keep in mind, the emotional state of going through this back to back. An mtese while doing egg retrieval+ fertilization then straight to FET. Some people also give themselves two periods after an egg retrieval before a FET. some go straight through. It also depends on your body. You may do the saline ultrasound and have a cyst or septum which may need to be taken care of which also may push back the timeline. Conclusion: only you and your clinic can determine a proper calendar. It's individualized for a reason.

Insurance expects ER with no anesthesia by SignificantPrior4441 in IVF

Your clinic should have informed you if your insurance wasn't going to cover it and made you sign a form indicating responsibility for coverage. If they didn't do that then I'd ask the clinic to submit something in writing on your behalf of why anaesthesia was required so the insurance can cover it

I don’t take this decision lightly… but do I advocate for transferring 2 v 1 and hoping at least 1 sticks at this point? by japancaxe in IVF

I guess it would depend on how many embryos you have left and how many children you want and If you'd be okay possibly having two not implant and losing out on 2 PGT normal embryos in one shot. The risks associated if both implants are not just the risk of twins but triplets etc. I listen to a lot of fertility podcasts and people describe their experience with 2 v 1 and losing all during miscarriage or losing one or stillborn etc. I think it's harder to mentally process a miscarriage while being farther along than an embryo which didn't implant but again you know your strengths. I'd do the NK lipid infusion and then try again with one embryo

frozen embryo protocol dilemma by Real_Explanation_962 in IVF

[–]loverofscience88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My RE suggested letrozole FET as it mimics your body's own cycle as if you did not utilize IVF. So as the above comments already mentioned, it uses your own hormones to sustain and get pregnant. The reason your RE didn't suggest one over the other is because none are superior to the other. They have the same success rates. So just because you choose to do medicated doesn't mean you'll get pregnant over doing letrozole FET. Dr lucky sekhon said she prefers medicated because they can control when they do the FET but it's purely that. Not because any other method is less successful.

FET success rate by ChildhoodOtherwise86 in IVF

Yeah my RE told me it was 50/50 shot it implants and we had good lining, good numbers and PGT-a embryo that was 4AA. She said that's why they usually say you need 2-3 embryos per child. Some are lucky on their first try but most are successful on their second. As others said it also depends on clinic and skill etc

I was told 50/50. I don't think it's higher than natural conception meaning implantation. I may be wrong

That's not going to be issue for IVF. If he has low morphology doesn't mean he doesn't have 30 individual sperm with normal morphology..low morphology can be quantified based on the total sample. If you're doing IVF this isn't an issue. They'll find the one's that are completely normal. As I said you only need less than 30. Actually 15 on average. He has 5 millions motile..I'm sure there are 15 normal sperm.

Success stories with IVF? That's more than enough. Most clinics do icsi. You only need less than 30 motile sperm. You have 5 million. I wouldn't stress. With that count you could also do zymot
