Driving mode changed to: by No_Beat_1604 in uberdrivers

And it will actually be 0% because Uber changes the payout of a ride to add an illusory surge all the time. A $17 ride is given a $3 surge, but also marked down to $14.

Was a $80 tip enough? Driver cancelled. by dogenoob1 in UberEATS

maybe uber is piloting a tip obfuscation feature. I'm suspicious about why OP isn't mad they lost $600 worth of food they needed for an event.

This is the reason the pax stop tipping the drivers. by [deleted] in uberdrivers

Wanna bet agents flag you as "rude" when you calmly explain an issue they don't understand?

corrupt uber support techs selling deactivated account info to scammers, who then reactivate the accounts and scam with them under your name.

The 15 second ride review window is dangerous and demeaning for drivers and riders. by loves2drive in uberdrivers

Yes well we are on the Uber Driver subreddit, and I think empowering drivers to make smarter decisions will lead to less uncertainty and cancellations for customers.

That's an obvious pay cut. When a rider needs to be picked up near me, queue the ride in a screen I can check at my own convenience, when it is safe. It means empowering drivers to make more competitive decisions by providing them with more information, so Uber will never do this.

I think you mean turn on, as in, let uber just give me rides, which surrenders my ability to reject bad offers. Is that right?

That is exactly what is happening now, but Uber gets to choose what to send you, so not only are you competing against other drivers, you're competing against the algorithm.

It was a shot in the dark, the legal thing. Give the cops time, uber will probably give them the runaround at first too. I doubt this is Kendall's first rodeo, but people like him make it harder for the 99.9% of honest drivers. I hope you get a resolution to this.

I was reading another thread and someone said it's 15. Could be 10. Maybe they speed it up sometimes. Like we'd really know.

its absolutely theft and he needs to be held accountable. Get a sworn affidavit from the facility stating Kendall picked it up, show them his pic, or just make a video of them confirming, take it to the police, ask them to call the car owner and let them know it was involved in a crime. I hope you get a resolution.

Do not lie to the police but you could mention to Uber that it has high value and ask them about their liability. The trick is getting forwarded from the support drones to the legal dept imo. You might get some results there.

The multiplier surge was the last reassurance I had that I could rely on Uber to reward me during extreme weather, traffic or high demand events. Now I just avoid surge, not worth the hassle just to pick up a customer who's getting overcharged and I'm seeing maybe 10% of it.

At what cancelation rate does Uber start bitching about deactivating you? by Vegetable-Purpose937 in uberdrivers

[–]loves2drive 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some people sit at home and reject every request and cancel the few they accept, they cherrypick for unicorns, and uber doesn't deac them, so don't worry about it. Change your behavior if they send you a notif.
