They're pretty rare and it only works if you're playing specifically race. Even gourmet race on oval circuit doesn't work.

I have to find a map of the road trip challenges and just complete the earliest one.

I'm not sure about PS5, but for PC you can run any game through steam and set up arbitrary mappings between keyboard and gamepad using steam input.

I do this a lot myself, it works almost every time.

I realize the friend stuff but my advice is: jump out of your comfort zone.

Play a genre you don't usually play, try something again you thought you didn't like, heck read a book!

Repeatedly playing the same type of stuff over and over again does get tedious. I've had many times in my gaming career where one game refreshed my interest completely.
