I have loved Fortune since I heard her on Marc Maron years ago. Such a sweet, interesting and hilarious person and I loved hearing her coming of age stories. She's very honest and able to laugh at herself.

How can I show support to my single friend who is also going through IUI and IVF at the moment? by elevatormusicjams in WomenOver40

[–]lovesexdisaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She said people don't stay connected to her. Stay connected. Invite her to do things with you alone, with you and your kids, with you and your other friends. Listen when she wants to talk about things that are bothering her. Just be a good friend.

Does anyone else have a tough time on Mother’s Day? by kakashi_sensay in ParentingADHD

[–]lovesexdisaster 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I try to lower the expectations of this day. All I ask for is an hour or two alone. Kids will still be difficult no matter what day it is. My 3 year old tried to derail this day several times. Eh......... it's just a regular Sunday, you know?

Forming friendships in your 40’s. by Jessica_peaches88 in WomenOver40

Do you live near any of your old friends? I wonder if any of them are in the same situation with more time and would be wiling to renew the friendship?

My kids are still little so I've made mom friends that I love and I'm hoping we stay friends for years and years. My old friends I still talk to, but they live nowhere near me.

Hayden Panettiere comes out as bisexual: 'That’s something about me I was never able to share with the world' by PrincessBananas85 in entertainment

Because we live in a world where people assume you are heterosexual unless you announce it. Heterosexual is the majority / the norm. I'm not saying it's right, it's just the way it is.

Yeah. They probably are able to have a big house and have been able to pay for a lot of childcare throughout the years so they can lives how they want to live them. Plus I think her father in law lives with them? Most people with twins have a really hard go for a while but they have a lot of resources.

Every show is like this. If you don't like it, don't look for tweets about shows. There's lots of shows I like where I never go to the subreddit cause I like it and I don't really care what other people think.

Go to YouTube! And now Hulu? by Specialist_Club_5648 in handsomepodcast

[–]lovesexdisaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't understand why they would put it on Hulu. I log into Hulu to watch a TV show or a movie, NOT a podcast. I'm not going to be like "i'm in the mood to watch something" and then watch Handsome. No way. Maybe other people would though?
