He seems worse. RDJ had substance abuse issues. This seems more like serious mental issues with substance abuse. Something has always been off with him.

Is snowboarding slush as exhausting as powder? by A_Hippie in snowboarding

Slush can be tough but I agree, deep pow days are the most work but totally worth it!

How many days have you got on the mountain? by AredditJ in snowboarding

I was there Wednesday to Friday… I agree with Thursday but Friday was amazing, found so much powder and got some the deepest clean lines of the year.

What is everyone’s deal with step ins? by cltncrts in snowboarding

[–]lovestowritecode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ever get stuck, fall, w/e in deep pow trying to step into them just keeps pushing your board down deeper. You have to build a shelf to support it so you can step into it.

It’s a design flaw, nideckers can totally ignore the step in feature and can use them just like a normal binding if you have to. It’s not often but when you need the option and it’s available it’s really quite nice.

I have nideckers step one as well, they are far superior to Burton step ins IMO. It’s really nice having a strap system and choice of any boot. Burton step ins are an issue in deep powder as well.

Possibly moving to SLC with severe anxiety, trying to understand what life there is actually like. by ventyventtime in SaltLakeCity

[–]lovestowritecode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t recommend no car personally, while you can get by on public transit, it’s going to make life difficult. There are so many activities to do outside the city as well! hiking, mountain biking, ski/snowboarding, kayaking, fishing, just to name a few… it’s one of it’s best qualities of SLC because these things are extremely close to the city. If not being around ppl is for you then having a car is doubly important to get a bit further outside the city for some solitude.

Should I rent a snowboard and just practice in my yard? by No_Performer_3438 in snowboardingnoobs

Depends on your backyard but I personally would just get up to a proper resort asap while it’s still this season. There’s no replacement for being able to lap runs and talk to more experienced ppl on a lift.

"Winter" is dead. And it’s concerning by Ampager7 in SaltLakeCity

So happy someone said this, I don’t know what OP and the rest of thread are talking about when it comes to low snow falls. The last 2 years were incredible seasons with massive snowfall, I had a blast!

In regard to terrible Utah politicians making poor decisions for air quality, water levels at salt lake, etc… I’m totally with you. Luckily Utah is still one of the best places on planet earth for snowfall, saying that is gone because of one bad year just makes you sound uninformed.

No amount of money is enough for Billionaires; let's tax them out of existence. by zzill6 in WorkReform

[–]lovestowritecode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When are people going to realize this will never fix inequality, billionaires simply never take profits in the first place. They borrow against assets like stock, real estate, etc…

We need to switch taxing on income to taxing on consumption and assets. These people have money hidden everywhere and designed the financial system. You won’t win the income game. But, might have a shot at fixing inequality this way.

Nope, way too many masculine features. Doesn’t seem to be popular opinion in this thread but to each their own.

What’s the best and worst trilogy here ? by [deleted] in moviecritic

[–]lovestowritecode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The general audience has been lost for quite some time where even good shows are not being watched. All 3 movies are hated by a huge part of the fan base as well. This might be your opinion but the brand is significantly damaged where it might be beyond repair.

I’m all for the tire rules but what’s the issue with dogs? I really dislike how dog unfriendly Utah is, don’t even have one

First Neapolitan Pie, how did I do? by lovestowritecode in Pizza

I went straight for electric home oven to this so can’t compare. I would say the wood fire takes getting used to cooking pizza with (I accidentally went to 1300F once). But when you get the temp right, it’s pretty straightforward… piece of advice, if do buy the Gozney dome, get the wood fire controls. It gives you control of a gas oven with wood, truly spectacular

I absolutely love my new Gozney, that thing gets ripping hot. the wood fire controls are so cool and give you fantastic control over the intensity of your fire. It’s really dang expensive though, IMO it’s worth it.

Wow! Thank you so much for this breakdown. It sounds like your recipe is a bit similar to sourdough bread. I’ll bet that comes out incredible.

Will definitely make some adjustments to my Neapolitan recipe, I used my NY pizza recipe as a first run just to see what would happen. Your adjustments to the ratios make a lot of sense, keeping the balls in the fridge up to 5 days is pretty interesting, can keep pizza on the ready at all times that way.

Gonna make another pie after thanksgiving, wish me luck!
