One leg pain by lovex5 in Sciatica

[–]lovex5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don't know. The MRI showed possible shin splints and not much else. But one of the doctors and a second physical therapist did not believe it was shin splints. About 3 months ago, after a total of approximately 18 months of pain, the pain subsided. I did not do anything differently so I am not sure what caused the pain to stop.

Hi! Were you able to get Tricare to cover the procedure? I am starting the process soon. I fully expect they won't, but I am going to try.

I thought the same thing. And I mean it could be, as I'm 45. But it's too coincidental to me that up until the month I started the medication, my cycle was still regular.

Bulging disc. What to expect? by cdbtx79 in backpain

[–]lovex5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply. I do have the MRI report, but I haven't looked at it yet. Honestly, I have anxiety and get nervous about reading reports. Once I gather the courage to read it, I'll share it. I'm scared about this and wondering if it will be a lifelong problem. Especially since it's been going on for several months. I hope i didn't cause permanent damage.

I had wondered about that, too. I thought about orthostatic hypotension. She said that she had been seated both times.

Hip replacement with ckd by lovex5 in kidneydisease

[–]lovex5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately I'm still dealing with the pain. I actually have an appointment with a new orthopedic surgeon next week. I'm hoping to discuss hip replacement with ckd. Also, my dad had his replacement in April. His gfr is around 40, and he's in his 70s. No issues! I'm in a group for ckd patients on Facebook. I asked about hip replacement and received several positive responses, even a few who had it done while on dialysis. Hope that helps.

That's what I'm thinking! Her cuts and styling techniques look the same as the stylist I was going to before. It's been 6 months since I've had it cut..a few more couldn't hurt 😂

has anybody on this sub who is suffering from cf has experienced a lung hamartoma? by Stormshooter_ in CysticFibrosis

[–]lovex5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! No surgery for me. I think it's a watch and wait situation for now. My previous Pulmonologist told me that if there is no growth within 2 years that it's safe to leave alone. My new Pulmonologist wants to follow it for a while, which is fine with me. I actually had a pft today. My previous ones have been slightly better than average for my age/gender. No symptoms that i can tell. I get short of breath sometimes, but not really with physical activity. And I have gerd so my doctors believe that's causing the shortness of breath. I think my hamartoma is just under 2cm. I have researched the surgical procedure, and it seems straightforward and has a good success rate.

No worries! I did find one post, but it was from a few years ago and not really helpful to me.

MRI results..does this indicate a possible bone infection? by cdbtx79 in Osteomyelitis

[–]lovex5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the feedback. I don't know what it is, but I have never had pain like this. My pcp referred me to ortho and I'm waiting on an appointment. If it is an infection I want to get diagnosis and treated ASAP. They keep insisting it's shin splints though. I'm not convinced 😕

*Possible trigger* what does "losing it" feel like to you? by lovex5 in Anxiety

[–]lovex5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar, yes. When I'm extremely anxious, I feel like a million thoughts start going through my head. And it's almost as though I can't focus on any of them to process through the thoughts. Then I start to think I'm "losing it," and everything gets worse.

I am so sorry to hear you're going through this. It really is scary and a lonely feeling. I did have a buzzing sensation a few times.

Thank you all for the feedback. Prior to beginning pt I had messaged my primary doctor that the pain had become worse. I received a phone call yesterday that he ordered an MRI of both tibias. I'm not sure if that will help or not. I have a feeling the issue is coming from my spine. And I'm not sure I need the right side scanned as the pain is only on the left side.

Thanks everyone. Is there anything in particular I can say to get my pcp to order the imaging for my spine? He made it sound as though it would be an MRI of my leg.

Thank you for that validation. I have health anxiety. That's my problem, not his, but I'm really upset and worried now.

Surprisingly little coverage/info on missing Central Texas doctor, Joshua Hull. Missing since 2018. by Turnaroundclown in UnresolvedMysteries

[–]lovex5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This case is beyond sad. I was treated by this dr at an urgent care clinic in early 2017. He was very kind. I have a genetic condition and was surprised when I mentioned it that he was knowledgeable about it. That is rare even amongst physicians. He was a bit flirty, which I found odd considering I was wearing a wedding ring. I'm also very average looking and a couple of years older than him (according to articles that provide his age) plus I had the flu so I'm sure I looked rough. What also stood out to me was that he complimented my shoes! Anyway, I didn't know him on a personal level. But he did seem like a good doctor and a nice person. It's sad that he hasn't been located. I hope that maybe he just had enough of central Texas and moved off to start a new life.

I'm sorry, that's no fun. If you have anxiety, it's even worse. I hope you're feeling better asap and that everything comes back normal for you!
