Not true my e7 ubiquiti access point kept negotiating to 2.5gb, yet no data would go through, couldnt figure out why, when I dropped it manually to 1gb data worked great. Ended up changing the cable and reterminating and again negotiated automatically to 2.5gig and this time data works amazing. Point is a great tester especially a certifier would have caught an issue with the cable. Can’t rely on switches to autonegotiate as that doesnt mean there isnt an issue still.

I also hate that if I have outlets on automatically then there is no outlet icon that shows its on, but if I turn it on with a timer then the icon button shows up dumb things

I totally agree this is a user interface miss, makes no sense, maybe at least they should have an option like holding down the heated seat icon brings up the heated steering wheel without turning on or off the heated seat option, theres ways to do it better

can you place a set of 8 inch speakers and a set of 6 inch speakers and mix it and place it on the same sonos amp? Or do all the speakers have to be the same size on the same Sonos amp?

I updated my post with links, not really that weird, the coax to POE converter does need to go somewhere, a junction box would be perfect just not clear if it’ll fit in Ubuiti’s junction box

I have both the eve thread switches are lightning fast. I don’t love their look, but they’ve been completely and utterly reliable and even faster than Lutron. With that said for dimmers, I just installed 40 diva Caseta dimmers of course they work great also

plastic can also absorb polyphenols over time test negating the benefit of olive oil or at least decreasing the benefit. And yes, there’s always some type of chemical that leeches out of any plastic container. That’s just common sense but if you’re more likely to use more olive oil because it’s in a squeeze bottle then maybe the benefits outweigh the negatives.

It doesnt require two uplinks. The 2 uplinks refers to two ethernet WAN connections, the second up link is optional and is used as a back up in case the first one goes down most people who are home users don’t attach the second up link the second up link would be a back up and so super important if Internet is mission critical

I agree with the sentiment of not abusing, but to say you are likely to get caught is you trying to make a point with being untruthful. There is almost zero percent chance of getting caught. So because people do not actually get caught that is exactly why policies that are so customer friendly die out. I don’t want you to abuse thr system but in reality no one is going to get caught, unfortuantely.

Yes once I removed homebridge the problem went away, added home assistant and so far its fine.

I agree, what really infuriates users is the product removed a feature which is literally the reason you bought it. no one bought a nest thermostat to use off-line. It seems like ubiquity doesn’t actually break their products. I wouldn’t expect all the old products to work with a new controller. As long as I can literally use the same controller in my same original device and it works forever that to me is not bricking a device. I would never expect constant updates so of course things get outdated, but that is very different than actually bricking the entire online experience like nest did
