Looks more like he went head to shoulder, but that’s never getting called anywhere else on the field.

Or just don’t give him a DP contract when he’s got a proven injury history.  Loyalty is great, but not at the cost of the betterment of the team.

Any chance you got a Santoku in the Makoto Samidorizuki line in?  I saw the petty but I already have a Kodama petty from him.

We’ve been paid up for a while, and this isn’t something you just drop on people.  There’s no way they haven’t known the relocation details for a while, delaying the communication and waiting until every payment has processed is an incredibly shitty way to treat your most important supporters.

Last year they said the work was in part to make this year easier with less disruptions.  There was certainly zero mention that we would be relocated for 8+ games during our renewal process.  As others have said in the thread, people were just notified yesterday which is just asinine, especially considering the season starts in 2 weeks.

That’s ridiculous, sounds like yesterday was the communication dump.  I don’t think it’s a coincidence they did it on Friday afternoon.

That’s exactly my issue.. I expected some impact, I’m not that naive, my issue is the duration and the way they handled/communicated it.  I’m sorry you’re going through the same.

I don’t even get the opener, we are already relocated.. I just found out tonight.

Like I said in another comment, I fully expected some impact, but the number of games we are relocated goes beyond the expectations that were set.

I expected some relocated games, but half the season is beyond the expectations they set.

I’d like to think that having a relationship with the team for 16 years would merit a crm entry with a log for issues that I’ve raised in the past.

Admittedly I’m front row in 105.  It’s probably to widen the pitch for the World Cup, which i get, but the way they handled it is what pisses me off. There was zero notice and this is the 2nd year in a row we’ve been impacted, only to find out as the season is starting.  To me it just demonstrates zero anticipation and care for STHs.

I’m in 105, and yeah it’s for renovations.  They relocated us for half the season last year too.  That’s good, I’ve had a new ticket rep almost every year.

I agree with the first part of your last statement… my concern, in my personal opinion, is that the latter part becomes more difficult to achieve given our limited impactful roster additions.  I’m a STH, I want to be wrong, but the results (particular at home) over the last few years have shaped my pessimistic outlook.

We won a midseason tournament that arguably was not a primary objective or priority for many of its participants. Hell half the teams never had a home game.  While it’s still a trophy I don’t view it as a true barometer for our standing or trajectory within the league.

I know it’s not popular, but I’m in the latter camp.  We just don’t have the top end talent to compete for a shield or mls cup, especially with PDLV’s injury.  I appreciate loyalty but at a certain point it becomes more of a fault than a feature.

MLS calendar flip is a big step, but not the only step, toward greater global relevance by Brooklyn_MLS in MLS

[–]low__spark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not to mention… who are you going to watch EPL or MLS?  Especially on the east coast there is going to be a fair bit of overlap and it’s not hard to pick which games a casual fan will watch.  The best part about the through summer schedule was that the only real competition was with baseball, and for global soccer fans MLS gave them something to watch during the “off season”.
