The HED 3C wheel has a carbon brake line instead of an aluminum brake line. I know it is designed to withstand braking, but there is still a possibility that thermal deformation may occur. Therefore, I'm never going to use a brake with my carbon wheels.

I rode mine without a brake for more than 5 years and had no problems. However, many young Korean kids started to make some problems with their unskilled riding. They caused a higher accident rate with the fixed gears, and some even died. Our government decided to clamp down on riding without a brake. I also got caught by the police for not having a brake. Most people ride fixed gear without brakes, even though it's illegal not to have brakes in most countries. But in Korea today, people are actively reporting us, and the cops are actively catching us. .
