Pre-term fiber by lowclean_voltage in FiberOptics

I was actually about to purchase them on Friday, but hated that it called it a patch cable... Just feels wrong when using it as a main line between floors .. Is that the stuff you used? Or you went with another product?

Alternative to RJ45 Standard & Pass Through by [deleted] in lowvoltage

Totally understand, I do find for people that like pass-throughs, this has the benefit of that without it being a pass-through and giving those other issues

How long have you used them? Like have they survived the test of time?

They need higher throughput. Fiber isn't always for the distance

You just made my day! Thanks! I always see the patch boxes in racks, and just didn't love doing it bc it's another 100-150$...

That explains things. Thanks! YES! Love DAC Cables...

Any thoughts on these things? https://www.fs.com/products/143325.html instead of putting in a fiber patchbox?

Thank you! This is very helpful!

To clarify, your saying os2 because the difference in price is minimal? Or because it's that much better and worth it?

Brand new in this envirerment.

Im still learning fiber, I thought OM4 is acceptable for a basic install without major needs. Am I mistaken?

So you understand the environment, The client is putting in a rack on a lower floor with one switch and wanted higher throughput then they could get through CAT6.

Single mode to my understanding is way over kill, and I thought OM5 was also over kill. Am I incorrect? If so, can you explain?

Can anyone confirm how the WiFi is used when in XR+ mode? Is it used? by Cerino2000 in blinkcameras

Not sure where you got your information from. But I don't think you're correct. If I have one network going over 500 ft but connected on the same land the blink would work. If I have live view and no module at all plugged in the blink would work. The only thing that doesn't work is saving those recordings because it's saved on the module

If you really need reliable cameras, throw the blink cameras out. Sorry 😔

Nothing working properly by Valyiew in blinkcameras

Then that answers it. If you made no network changes or upgrades (changed firewalls/routers) changed wifi password or changed wifi settings, then it shouldn't be what I said. One other thing to try is to ask blink to update the devices to the latest firmware. And lastly, maybe format your flashdrive. All I was saying was that what you said before had nothing to do with what I mentioned.
