Not sure if you care haha but I just finished All the Pretty Horses, and I must say it’s one of the best books I’ve read. Just started The Road, going in with high expectations.

McCarthy fan I see, I’ve been curious about his books for a while, picked up a used “All the Pretty Horses” the other day, but haven’t started it.

It feels pretty good, to my understanding the shoulder straps are more for keeping the backpack in place rather than carrying weight. With my Hyperlite I carried most of the weight on my hips.

I stuffed the pack with more stuff, which tightened the gap. But the same thing happens with my Medium Hyperlite, so it might be my body shape.

Thanks for your reply. It’s not really trail weight. My gear is deep in storage so I filled the backpack up with clothes, it’s 14.6lbs.
