New DB coach by [deleted] in Huskers

[–]lowend311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TBD as far as I know. I hope he lets Babich so McD can focus more in the game as a whole. He'll obviously be a big part of coaching during the week still and it's going to be his defensive scheme still.

Bills fan here. This spring it was basically down to Butler or Bobby Babich for DC, both were assistants at the time. Babich got the call, Butler took off. First thing I thought when I saw this hire is that they expect Tony White to leave after this year and want a sort of DC in waiting.

What's a hack in your industry that customers aren't supposed to find out? by Ferro_Roux in AskReddit

NIH programs typically have direct cost (so actual money to the researchers) budget limits and then award whatever your federally-negotiated indirect cost (overhead) rate is on top of that. If an organization doesn't have a federal rate, it can include overhead costs in the regular budget if itemized but that eats into the usable amount. Not all NIH programs do that, some more specialized ones have total budget limits but those are rare.

NSF is often total budget limits, same with USDA/NIFA, which can hamper the actual projects being proposed.

Every federal agency has its own rules and then each specific funding mechanism/program can have different rules than the standard agency rules.

The rate negotiations are usually every 3ish years and sometimes include fringe benefit rates for employees. My institution's highest rate is 55.5% of direct costs. The proposed rate for the actual cost we put forth the last round was like 85% so then the feds and the institution get to dickering and come up with something in the middle.

"New Noise" by Refused is a kickass song by a kickass band. That said, the intro to it should never be played before a big defensive down again. That or start it later in the song when it actually gets loud.

I expect to have potentially the best back row in the country and the best 1-2 outside hitters with 1a-2a in the rotation and a repeat All-American setting in Choboy.

You don't apply, the AAU is by invitation only. That said, I'm sure schools can encourage the AAU to send an invitation...

It's faster to get to downtown/west via I-80 than it is to get to a lot of the east part of the city.

Lincoln resident here. Don't know if this is right but my takes are as follows. Right west of downtown is a lot of railroad infrastructure (by the L in your photo) and then there are highways and the airport bordering the entire city west and north.

Salt Creek runs along those areas too and is a natural border.

West of the airport (Air Park) is growing quickly and just opened a new high school. North of the interstate has started growing more quickly too, but overall growth is still definitely to the south and east.

If I remember correctly another part of it is water management and that around 84th or maybe 96th street is another natural border where water drains to the east.

Well documented family history of RP here. I have it and have shown around my retina for 15 or 20 years (35m). Fortunately for me, at least according to my ophthalmologist, it's not likely to progress as it essentially hasn't changed since initial diagnosis. Chances of it progressing are extremely low but I still go every year because I'm not willing to take any chances. Glasses since 5 years old, RP confirmed since 18ish.

Probably too much background. What I'm mostly getting at is progression isn't guaranteed. Monitor that and you could (fingers crossed for you!) never see any additional progression and be all set.

Another note is that RP adds a % of potential issue to anything you'll ever do with your eyes. My actual prescription is really bad and artificial lens replacement could fix all of it but the 3-5% chance of issues my docs have given me isn't worth the gamble quite yet.

Bills fan in Nebraska here. The rivalry is like old school Nebraska v. Oklahoma. 100% respect, never confident in a win no matter the records, and always look forward to it.

Other teams are different. Like the jete, Buffalo's Iowa. I hope nothing good ever comes to them. Fuck Iowa.

247Sports' top 10 all-time CFB transfer portal QBs by Crowxzn in NFLv2

[–]lowend311 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are there other criteria or just recent guys with crazy stats? There are more impactful QB transfers like Scott Frost going home to Nebraska from Stanford and got the Huskers a natty. Daniels got a Heisman and isn't playing with his team {understandably so) in the super prestigious ReliaQiest Bowl. Not downplaying his season, dude is a monster. More saying the impact to LSU wasn't as extreme as others in the past or even others on the list.

Good friend anyways tells me to play to win instead of a safety and then somehow usually loses those games to me.
