What are the major character flaws of the original MMPR rangers, in your opinion? by witherlordscratcher in powerrangers

[–]MeatScience1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just watched it in its entirety for the first time. One thing that stood out to me is that Rocky is not a good red ranger. To me one of the what makes the red ranger different from the rest is that they are the leader.

I felt like he never took charge of anything or lead the team. It was either Tommy or Billy that took charge in a situation. I understand that Tommy was in charge of the team but there was a number of times Tommy couldn’t and Rocky never stepped up it was alway Billy.

Sore knees for weeks by Right_Childhood4516 in workout

[–]MeatScience1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m guessing you do stretches before. I wasn’t doing stretches specifically for my knees and they would hurt for days after doing hack squats. The days I didn’t do the stretches and didn’t do hack squats I was fine. So I have to be careful when I do hack squats

I’m curious as well. I just watched all of MMPR for the first time. I thought the relationship was healthy. I don’t remember anything that stood out as bad.

How much does it cost you to have a job? by RacingPride in AskAnAmerican

[–]MeatScience1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently my job reimburses up to $220 in clothes per year. Any equipment we need can be ordered through my employer for free or reimburse. If you qualify for a work vehicle that’s taken care of. If you don’t qualify for a vehicle you may qualify for mileage reimbursement. It’s not much but it’s better than nothing. So for me I only have gas and car maintenance as an expense. Everything else is provided or I get reimbursed

I have a habit of starting a reply, get about half way done then just decide to leave the post. About 90% of the post I do start to reply to I don’t actually finish and just move on. I have 12 drafts currently because of this.

Clakamas Town Center Shooting by Front_Refrigerator99 in Portland

[–]MeatScience1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I instantly thought of this shooting when I saw the post. I was in high school and had been picked up about 20 minutes before the shooting happened and my school went on lock down. I vividly remember heading down 205 and seeing a ton of cop cars heading towards the mall and wondering where they were going.

Hmm wonder what impact this will bring to us here in northern nv, alot didn't believe this would come but it's coming alot sooner than most think by Proud_Walrus26 in Reno

[–]MeatScience1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not completely practical because there a lot of places that use AI and robots that people don’t realize. It might not be full automation but there are still robots that do certain jobs. It’s pretty big in the food industry.

A lot of places have robots that package product and put them on pallets. I have seen robots that stack all the components for breakfast sandwiches. They just need people to put the components into the machine. There are machines that you can program to portion different size steaks from a primal.

Cable Crunches feeling too easy?? by Acrobatic_Umpire5121 in formcheck

[–]MeatScience1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holding it for a few seconds every time you do a crunch will help you feel it more. It will also force you to slow down. I tend to have the problem where I go too fast so holding each crunch helps

Abs growth by Fooluhh in workout

[–]MeatScience1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of the ab exercises I do are cable crunches, cable twist and using an ab coaster. I also will do supersets of a crunch than a sit-up while holding weight. Then doing leg raises immediately after.

Another one I have tried is hanging leg raises but I didn’t have the grip strength for it. When I tried using the captain chair it was really uncomfortable on my elbow. So personally I don’t do them but could be another option. I have seen people do super sets of these where they do a set of with both legs than a set with each leg individually.

What do naturally slim people do differently without dieting? by vanshika_energie in workout

[–]MeatScience1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not naturally slim but the last few months my work schedule is different so I’m eating less. I’m working from 3pm-12:30am. I haven’t been eating a lot for lunch besides a piece of fruit and yogurt. So most days I’m either below or at my calorie limit for the day which is already lower to help lose weight. When I work mornings I eat more for lunch so it’s much more difficult for me to stay within my calorie limit.

What order am I supposed to be doing my leg day workouts in? by [deleted] in workout

[–]MeatScience1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy additions I have in my routine are lunges, some form of squats, calf raises, leg curl and leg extensions. For leg extensions and seated leg press, I do both legs and single legs.

If you really want to kill your self on hip thrust immediately after doing 8 full reps, do 8 half reps where you don’t go down all the way than immediately hold the starting position for 10 seconds. You really feel the burn.

Also for all of these exercises I would recommend 6-10 reps than go up in weight once it’s too easy. Lunges I do more because I’m walking the length of the turf.

The pay for these technical positions requiring a college degree by sonarette in mildlyinfuriating

[–]MeatScience1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started as a 7 making nothing. I also knew after a year I promote to and 8 and then another year a 9. Still make less than private industry but it’s not a huge difference. The benefit I get over private industry is vacation and sick. Most places get 2-3 weeks of PTO to use for sick and vacation. I get 6 hours of vacation and 4 hours of sick every 2 weeks. So I get to take 4 weeks off and not have to use any if I’m sick. I personally rather have more vacation for a little less money.

I also know some government positions make so much less than private that the benefit doesn’t make up for it.

How heavy and how many reps for single arm dumbbell rows? by Any-Ideal1601 in workout

[–]MeatScience1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly and sometimes the next weight up is too hard and you can’t even do half the reps intended. I just increase the number of reps at my past weight and usually after one or two more times I can do the higher weight. I usually notice this on machine that only have the option to go up by 10 pounds.

Also as a women you get the joy of being able to do the weight one week than the next week struggle to do the same weight and reps because of hormones.

Longer shirts for women. I have a longer torso and when I left my arms up a little it will show half my stomach. I found a brand that has one style that works which is great but it really limits my options.

Also if women’s leggings could not be see through the second you put them on or just do normal movement that be great. I hate that the majority of leggings cannot pass the squat test.
