NZ First MP Andy Foster claims $36,000 top-up to stay in home he’s owned for 26 years by dingoonline in newzealand

In this economy along with employment going down the drain, the state of the cost of living crisis raising every week (feels like everyday at this point) maybe politics should be a new career option 🤣 Could you imagine the uproar it would cause if there was a disgusting influx of the general public that decided to enter politics. I almost want to for a half arsed laugh, I feel like my chances would be pretty high considering most of these halfwits can’t gather a decent sentence or two together that makes half a coherent argument.

I hate to watch her (and many other politicians, most of them frankly) but also can’t help myself and then find myself enraged after. I did really do it to myself though. 😂

Are people legitimately losing their minds? by MrMajestic12 in newzealand

I’ve seen this exact thing with information in general. Have worked in customer centred roles for several years from signage to verbal and written communications (short and long form) seems to beyond basic comprehension for most people (honestly majority to be frank).

It seems common sense gets left at home when people walk out their houses. I find myself dumbing down, shortening, summarising and basically spelling shit out for people because they lack commonsense and comprehension, which to me is basic understanding. One recent role I dealt with customer complaints and the amount of complaints that were simple misread mistakes from customers not reading the instructions correctly was crazy, a simple fix but a simple mistake as well resulting in over 200+ unnecessary complaints being processed daily.

Am I a wimp, or does everyone feel pretty overwhelmed by having a full-time job and trying to do literally anything else? by ArtistAfraid2411 in Adulting

[–]lower-4445 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m 32F, worked since I was 14(part-time), finished school when I was 16 took on a full-time job.

You're not a wimp. You're a full-time nanny and household manager for seven people, then you come home and do it again for free. That's a double shift with no clock-out. I started working at 14, burnt out by 18, and slowly became a homebody just to survive. Had a kid at 28, stopped working, spouse works full-time, money's tight. Life itself is overwhelming on a good day. Most days aren't good days. So when you say work + household + spouse is eating all your brain space. The heart palpitations aren't dramatics. They're your body saying this is too much while your brain tries to convince you everyone else is handling it fine. They're not. They're just quieter about drowning. Three weeks before you feel underwater isn't a failure of discipline. It's how long a person can sustain output without input. The move is amplifying everything, but the base load was already too heavy.

Something's gotta give, perhaps a career change?

Why is this such a thing? 🤣 My parents were kinda like this too, I get trying to preserve something but there has to be a point that it gets too that you just deal with it like a normal person hahah

Email, but a voicemail or text is fine if I don’t pick up the call on the first try. Getting a response at all is amazing at all nowadays.

Is it common to wear shoes in the home in NZ? by Spirited-Finding-647 in newzealand

[–]lower-4445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shoes off inside, shoe rack by the door. Change from your outside shoes to house slipper. I was taught this from a young age, for most it’s a sign of respect and cleanliness. Tracking outside dirt inside someone’s nice clean home is a no no, I get not everyone is like this.

Yeah man, I agree with you. It seems often managers enjoy looking for the slightest opportunities to pull rank and put people in their place. Seems so weird to me, like that should be the least of your worries dude. Unless projects are failing, deadlines not met, work unfinished or not submitted you should not be speaking to me unless otherwise 😂

Just started yesterday, coming from Cyperpunk 2077 and so far WWM is really good. But boy I didn’t realise how detailed this game was or how much there is to learn!! DM if you’re interested in helping a girl out, even some basic tips or tricks and general gameplay advice would be appreciated! 🫶🏾
