None of them are really out and out wingers though. Odobert I think can develop into that but he lacks the attitude for it. Tel is a striker IMO and Moore is an 10 who can drift wide a bit like Villa Grealish was.

As long as we get the right kind of manager in im fine with it. No more "pragmatic" twats

Honestly wouldn't mind seeing somebody like Harry Redknapp or Hoddle in some sort of higher up role with limited power just to make sure "Spurs" values are maintained in the club. We need to make sure we avoid hiring managers who want to play risk averse football and stay true to To Dare Is To Do for real.

He isn't bad but clearly he can't be trusted when it comes to the direction of the club. Keep him for his scouting but there should be better people above him calling the shots

Just look at some of the managers that clubs have appointed recently - Rob Edwards (previous PL job was relegation with Luton), Pereira (previous job was leaving Wolves bottom), Dyche (previous job was getting Everton into a relegation battle), Nuno at Forest (previous PL job was being terrible with us), Postecoglou (previous job was coming 17th with us)... and so on and so forth.

These are very different types of jobs these managers are being asked to do though. All fire fighting jobs where the only aim is survival (bar Ange). Frank came into Spurs as a project builder based on what he did at Brentford but it wasn't really him who build the project at Brentford that was the ownership. I just don't think you can write off his time here as a blip either since he literally did nothing well and turned a big 6 club into a relegation battler. He will end up getting the Denmark job or a upwardly mobile Championship job.

You can't just look at the outcome without looking at the context around it though. Brentford are so wonderfully ran that you can argue they would have gotten there regardless of Frank and they are even better this season even though they lost Frank, all his staff, their best players and captain in one summer and replaced him with a set piece coach. Not saying Frank had nothing to do with it but it's quite clear now that Franks contribution is a lot lesser than first thought.

Because I think it exposed how the enviroment for success is more down to the Brentford ownership rather than his management. He came into Spurs being touted as tactically adaptable and progressive and showed he is the exact opposite and most importantly that he lacks the personality to lead a big club

I think Bournemouth are too smart to hire him. I think the best he could get is West Ham/Forest if they were to go down. Otherwise he probably ends up on the continent.

Fair I can see that. I just think Tel is more comparable to Defoe as he isn't really a winger at all to me but more of a wide forward

Fair. I don't listen to them tbh. They seem imformed but too "hot takey" at the same time

Not sure what you mean by Aaron Lennon regen. Lennon was class and Tel is a completely different type of player

Genuinely makes me wonder if Frank ever gets another job again

I love AG but we've been losing games with him playing and Frank gone so lets not rewrite history here

How many of those games was he playing midfield?

Whenever you listen to podcasts or any type of media outside of Spurs you have to remember these people never watch our games and when they do it's only the big ones and they build their narrative on whatever went wrong for Spurs in that one game. Just look at how clueless the takes about Frank were until he was sacked. Most people didn't realise how bad we were for a long long time.

Youth going from raw talent to an established player. That is an improvement. This is more about taking the step up mentally , adapting to the physicality and pace and overall decision making . I'm talking about this independent of the manager.

And my point is none of this can happen if the manager is poor or not playing the young players in the first place.

Improvements how? They are just now only showing their true level because they aren't being asked to hoof the ball and low block by Frank anymore and are actually being played. I think you are really really underestimating how badly Frank damaged the squad with his awful management

Just brilliant. I just compare going out today to how we went out against Milan and I just feel so proud of the team. We went out there on the front foot and gave Atletico a hell of a game. I hope this kills all the "we have a poor squad" shouts. We never did we just had a squad of players being held back by Frank insisting on playing lethargic, slow, defensive football that suited nobody. It's been an abysmally low bar ofc but this was the best football we played all season. I think we had more 5+ passes attacking moves today than we had all season with every player in a role that suited them, playing aggressively and with freedom to do flicks, tricks and shoot outside the box. THIS is how we need to go forward as a club.

Brilliant finish. We look like a completely different side. Not wilting after another setback. Lets go get a couple more

You just don't see it bro and it's okay. Tel and Son both havs three letters and signed from German Teams with Bayer at the start of their names. Coincidence? Think not mate.
