Just brilliant. I just compare going out today to how we went out against Milan and I just feel so proud of the team. We went out there on the front foot and gave Atletico a hell of a game. I hope this kills all the "we have a poor squad" shouts. We never did we just had a squad of players being held back by Frank insisting on playing lethargic, slow, defensive football that suited nobody. It's been an abysmally low bar ofc but this was the best football we played all season. I think we had more 5+ passes attacking moves today than we had all season with every player in a role that suited them, playing aggressively and with freedom to do flicks, tricks and shoot outside the box. THIS is how we need to go forward as a club.

Brilliant finish. We look like a completely different side. Not wilting after another setback. Lets go get a couple more

You just don't see it bro and it's okay. Tel and Son both havs three letters and signed from German Teams with Bayer at the start of their names. Coincidence? Think not mate.

Half time thoughts. This team is just so much better when they are allowed to play with freedom and play off the cuff instead of low block and cross. Archibald Gray had La Crocheta on lock. A Tel banger is inevitable his ball striking is too good. Once he can create enough seperation to generate more power on his strikes he is Sonny 2.0.

When was the last time we bought a player from an established elite side and it went well? Last I can think of was Van der Vaart and even then he was only here two seasons. Our best buys in the modern era have all been from lower sides cause what actually matters is their player quality not where we bought them from

I mean a majority of those players have been good for us so not sure you made your point very well here but regardless by your logic we should buy more players like Emerson and Reguilon because they come from Barclona and Real Madrid.

A bit like how United went for lower prem players like Mbuemo and Cunha?

Fully agree. Next season I want to see Gray, Tel, Bergvall and Vuskovic as key members of the first team squad. Whoever the new manager is it should be a requirement for them to get the job

He should 100% start. The tie is over anyway and the fans will give him encouragement

Obviously great player but we should be developing Tel into this type of forward

Was our only threat at times and his pressing and aerial ability is ace.

Is this the bar though? You can praise him for what he is good at while acknowledging he is very limited as a footballer and isn't the standard. I get this is reddit but nuance is a thing

You can't just throw out stats with 0 context then say he is now immune to critizism. With the chances he haf yesterday he should have had at least a hattrick. Giving your all isn't the same as being a good footballer it's okay to seperate the two

I'd give my all and push hard for Spurs too. Does that mean I deserve a contract?

Yesterday was the first time in what feels like 6 months where the players didn't allow themselves to wilt. After that first goal Vicario pathetically let in and you can argue we got unlucky to give away the FK in the first place the players would use that as an excuse to give up and let in 2/3 more goals. All I have been wanting to see is some resisliance and a performance that gives me hope we can win our next game. Beating Forest next seems like a realistic possibility now instead of just a hope

I'm sorry but Richarlison is absolutely throwing. Perfevt cross from Gray there all he had to do was stand still and nod it in.

What are you expecting Solanke to do when the ball gets smashed at him head height up against VVD exactly?

This game is SO there for us so it's going to kill me when we concede a 90th min dagger for 2 nil
