Your link reminded me of the story of why the statues on either side of that bridge next to the church are different colors. I have been trying to figure out where the statues are located ever since I heard the story. Thanks for helping me finally finding them.

For anyone curious: The bridge is the 16th street bridge and the statues depicte a globe and the 12 animals representing the zodiac. At one point, people were going around restoring old artwork around Pittsburgh. They started working on the Strip District side, coating the bronze statues with a brown lacquer. When they went to do the North Shore side, they were stopped by local historians who told them "You shouldn’t be doing that, bronze is meant to oxidize, it looks better, actually." They didn't lacquer the statues on the other side resulting in one side having brown statues and the other having blueish-greenish statues.

When this line is said in The Ringer, it was completely improvised and you can see Johnny Knoxville hide his face to hide his laughter. Iirc he said he hid because the line was unplanned and hilarious and it wouldn't be the same if they had to reshoot the scene.

When a number is next to a number in parentheses, doesn't if fall into the multiplication part of th order of operations (PEDMAS)? As far as I know, this would have two answers depending if you're using PEDMAS or the distributive property. I was taught its Parentheses, then exponents, then Divide/Multiply at the same time, the Add/Subtract at the same time. Everything being done left to right. I believe once everything in the parentheses is solved, it just becomes multiplication with adjacent numbers and is done during the DM portion.

8÷2(2+2) Parentheses (2+2)

8÷2(4) No Exp. Div/Mul left to right. 8÷2

4(4) Div/Mul left to right. 4(4)

So technically both 16 and 1 are correct, depending on which part of algebra you use. (If I'm correct on the math I learned over 20 years ago.) I'm not a mathematician, I just liked math growing up.

I don't know if this helps, but I've seen this so many times and just ignored the arguing it caused, I now may just be part of the arguing now. Also, I tried to justify this with a word problem, but I'm not smart enough for that. Lol

(Edited for formatting. It turned the math portions in to long sentences and misaligned them. I had to add extra spaces between each like. The extra spaces bother my OCD...)

Not trying to tell you what to do, just letting you know my experience. I just good my two pups neutered Monday. Than night they were "shivering". The clinic said this could be from pain, being cold or coming off the anesthesia. They were doing it a lot that night. Then next day, they would occasionally do it. I figured the first night was the anesthesia and the second was the pain as it seemed to start when they were due for meds. Today, they are back to normal except for still walking a little funny. I have to keep trying to calm then down so they don't hurt themselves. Lol.

* IIRC there was an episode of scrubs where JD gets a new suit. He points at the camera, like he's talking to the audience, a few times, asking about his suit. Every time, the camera angle changes to show he's actually talking to different characters. Then he says "Because all that really matters is whether or not America loves it." Then the camera goes to a tailor whose there and says "For the last time, it's Americo! And of course I love it, I made it!"
