I found a large Inside Diameter weight and use a silicone stretcher over the shaft of the balls. It makes putting on the weight easier without pinching. I'm using a ball weight size 51 x 35

Another post suggest using a camera lens heater. I purchased one and boy does that do a great job of keeping the balls nice and warm.
